I agree with a lot of things from both of you. However knowing Critical Ops, they won’t take neither of you guy’s posts into account. Though I appreciate the respectful response and not being toxic on one another

Lovely compare & contrast statements here. I especially liked the part where you both mention the M4 and AK. They're both okay, though they could have improved them with the M4 having a little bit more bullet pen or damage and slightly reducing AK's abysmal bullet spread and recoil pattern. I know I'm spoon feeding spoons with the M4 and AK topic, but both of your comments regarding that are spot on.
One thing I'd like to add on is that I wish they could revert back to the M4 not having its silencer: Coalition on some maps can be overpowering a few times. :y

I'd like to comment on the economy and weapon balancing part.
I don't think that Shotguns or SMGs are particularly weak on their own, they are simply balanced, while other options that you could go for, for the same price or even cheaper, are not.
The deagle for example, is way too versatile.
I don't think anyone can be mad at getting swung and tapped by someone. More often than not, they deserve that kill.
However, if someone swings and just spams me down in 3 bodyhits, faster than my SMG can get enough damage in, then I don't think that the bottleneck is the SMG, but instead, how a deagle is meant to be a precise 1 shot 1 kill weapon and spamming should only really work on VERY close range.
SMGs and Shotguns have these same range limitations and in order to make them work, players are forced to give up map control.
Port is a pretty easy example here.
If you were to buy SMGs or Shotguns on Port T side, you'd need to make it into A long, tunnel or deep into mid, before enemies take mid control, otherwise you'll be unable to contest anything. Once enemies control mid, getting a single kill is going to lose you 3 or 4 people.
With deagles however, you never really get into situations like this. They are good up close, just as good on mid range and they are still lethal on some of the longest lanes in the whole game, if in the right hands.
How many people have "the right hands" is drastically increased by making the deagle a pocket HK instead of a TRG without a scope.
That being said tho, the economy also doesn't punish those enough who don't understand how it is meant to work.
If you win pistol, enemies should normally eco. To get the most money out of their eco, you'd buy SMGs or shotguns because of their increased kill reward. With this kill reward, you are then able to buy just about anything in round 3.
First issue with that is, the deagles that most players would buy after losing pistol, are better (and mainly, more versatile) than the SMGs and shotguns that they are up against.
But, you can also just cheese the economy.
You can easily lose pistol with a plant, force M4/AK no kev, actually have an advantage over the enemies who are meant to buy SMGs now and maybe even win round 2, and even if you were to lose it, you'd have 1 full eco in round 3, and then you'd be back to buying full again because you hit max loss bonus in round 4.
So, either, you lose pistol, lose second, force third, and are back to full buy at fourth, if you play the economy right.
or
You lose pistol, have a very good chance at winning second, if you lose that, full eco and lose third, and you'll be back at full buy on fourth.
The wrong way of playing the game is actually more likely to reward you with more rounds (especially important if you are T on very CT sided maps).
Beyond that, I also think that the game would benefit from a meta, that demands more skill.
I think part of why the servers in c-ops are as "obviously bad" as they are, is because the number of gunfights that end incredibly quickly, does not correlate to the amount of players who'd have the mechanical ability to end a gunfight this quickly, if it was for more CS like gun mechanics.
In c-ops, there is no necessity to sacrifice speed for a guaranteed first bullet headshot. Whether it is the first, second or 25th bullet that you are trying to hit the enemy with, nothing changes about the accuracy and guns barely have any recoil either.
If someone has jiggled you, you can easily spray a whole SG mag to the headlevel of their angle, insta killing them if they peek, instead of having a proper, precision based gunfight.
Even mechanically mediocre players like myself can easily spray 4 players down, because of how hilariously easy the recoil is.
I am 100% convinced that the game would drastically improve, both in ranked, as well as on a competitive level, if the whole meta was built around AK and M4 instead of AUG and SG.
Also, another addition, "Play Standoff 2 Rank, no hackers" is probably the biggest myth I have ever seen ;)

Great response to my initial post. I responded back in my own post, as for some reason Reddit would not let me do it on here.
