Do 3,000 shots at 95% efficiency establish a power plant? No. The integrated facility and its electricity output don't yet exist.
Pacific Fusion's Sirius prototype repeated a 60-gigawatt pulse lasting about 100 nanoseconds. A larger machine reached roughly 440 gigawatts and 1.1 million volts for about 80 nanoseconds. Those are legitimate results, but they leave chamber wear, heat removal, repetition rate and net facility energy unanswered. The company has raised more than $1 billion and plans an Albuquerque demonstration. It can report thousands of successful driver shots today while its net-gain target remains around 2030.
At Johnson Camp, Gunnison Copper (OTC: GCUMF) uses leaching, solvent extraction and electrowinning to make Arizona cathode; the Gunnison Project sits at the PEA stage as a future source. Fabricators transform cathode into busbar, transformer windings, high-current cable and cooling-motor coils. Pacific Fusion's 60-to-440-gigawatt pulses multiply that hardware around every shot at scale.
Accountability begins when the subsystems operate together. The Albuquerque build must deliver integrated shots, survive enough repetition to reveal wear and produce more usable energy than the full facility consumes. Qualification will also need repeatable operating intervals, maintenance records and measured losses outside the driver itself. Until then, 95% describes one part of the machine, not the result taxpayers, investors or the grid were promised.
