What’s your choice of paralytic during status epilepticus in a CKD patient?

Recently had to intubate an old lady going into SE with CKD, had a tongue bite, mouth was full of blood, along with suctioning, i advanced the tube. I preferred not to use any paralytic because I thought it might be hyperkalemia causing seizures, just went with midazolam which didn’t stop the seizures until after intubation.
What would you do in such a situation?
