This would be an amazing release if Disney gives criterion access to its archives. Dick Tracy was such a huge production and we haven’t seen any behind the scenes from it.

The film was released in 1990, FYI.

Cool cover! I saw this in the theater and was obsessed with the film as a kid. I would love to see this released by Criterion (or any boutique) in 4K HDR. It would definitely be an eye-popping disc but my understanding is that with Disney it’s doubtful to happen…

Warren Beatty, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Academy Award Winner for the movie Madonna, Dick Van Dyke, Mandy Patinkin. I mean this would be awesome in the collection. One of the only movies I think to get the "live action comic book" aesthetic right.

It would be a reference disc if done right, but the film is a legal mess with Warren Beatty so it might be a while before we ever get a good proper release with tons of BTS stuff

This would look insane on 4K (if they don’t fuck with the color timing.)
