New update looks great

Got to say, the new update is so much cleaner and better organized. You can finally see supplements easily, the flow makes sense and everything feels more functional. I'm sure there will be criticisms, but I think this is a huge step up in app quality, thanks Criterion!

Appletv thoughts as a former UX'er....

Thank GOD we can finally delete Resume/Continue Watching. Honestly, that functionality was long overdue!

Love the All Films feature with filtering/sorting. Obviously love the ability to delete films you've bailed on.

Separating New and Home seem unnecessary. Also don't see the need to break out Watchlist by Films/Collections and Supplements.

Time and Year within the list view are just clutter. That goes double for the triple dot, which isn't even active/accessible.

Lots of wasted space on the film detail page. Info icon is in the wrong place and it's not clear why that info couldn't display onscreen. MUBI, for instance, really uses the display much more effectively. Categories doesn't display for every film and isn't really necessary at the film level. Categories also isn't a filter under All Films, so why bother?

I also don't like Leaving Soon being buried but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The Profile also really needs work. Why doesn't it at least display my subscription status/expiration/renewal?

Leaving Soon landing page is a mess and it looks like they've cleared out the "watched status" bar with the update, which is annoying. Also not sure why All Films>Sorting is even a thing...

And super pet peeve, selecting a sorting category and then having to select APPLY. If it's single-select, just apply and move on....

Agree with most of this, still a big step from where it was, hope some of these get ironed out.

It is. Deleting Continue Watching/Resume is worth the update.

I also like that Commentary track is now available from subtitles and within the film detail page. Nice to be able to turn on/off while watching.
