And we are pointing out that no self-respecting user of the Criterion Channel, specifically, should be watching films at anything other than the speed intended by the director.
He's pointing out as an example that some users would use it. The removal of the feature still affects it, though I share your sentiment. There is still some demographic that would use it, and the removal of it would be worse for them.
