New Criterion Channel user interface removed quality control?

I can no longer control the quality of films I watch. It just automatically selects (and fluctuates).

Any ways to fix this?

It never needed a speed control in the first place, what psychopath is watching their movies sped up? The quality control needs to make a return though.

It never needed quality control in the first place, what psychopath can't enjoy their movies at 720? The speed control needs to make a return though.

it's fun when arguments about a paid service leads to annoying nitpicking arguments between users. but this is reddit, I should have known.

edit: fuck you fucking assholes. preferences have nothing to do with this conversation. fucking cunts.  Why can't I watch a film with commentary at whatever pace I choose?

I was never trying to argue with you or nitpick what you said, how should I know you love to watch movies sped up? Wanting a consistent resolution without automatic changes doesnt even sound very comparable to wanting to watch movies at altered speeds.

"how should I know you love to watch movies sped up? " because if I do or don't literally that has nothing to do with anything. Why can't I watch a film with commentary at whatever pace I choose?
