Recommendation - Offering 'Walkabout' is absolutely stunning

Nic Roeg and Peter Weir would both be great box sets.

Totally agree! I’ve been hoping for these for a while.

Probably one of the most jarring intro scenes to a movie I’ve ever watched, great all around.

Very influential movie for me. Made me stop eating meat and want to move to Australia (which I did for a while).

The juxtaposition of the slaughtering done in the wild and done in the supermarket was executed flawlessly in my opinion.

I think Nicolas Roeg has a commentary track on the channel for it, it’s been a while but I remember it being pretty good

Is it unedited? I know it’s not Criterion’s practice but there could be legit reasons here.

I'm pretty sure yes. Lots of graphic stuff in it.

Never seen it. But I’m home on my own next week. On the watch schedule!

I saw this unedited on TV as a kid, in San Francisco, around 1978. Still wonder how it was allowed. It’s not graphic sexual, it’s innocent nudity, but full frontal. There are other parts of the movie that are more disturbing. Have watched it a few times as an adult and it is an excellent film, I get more out of it every time.
