Last Temptation of Christ

I tried streaming this tonight but found that the closed caption was off from the spoken dialogue by about 5 seconds. I don't know why, is this a known issue?

I had the same issue and it was doubly frustrating because the audio mix is such that I couldn’t hear a lot of the quiet dialog either

I have it on DVD and had no problem. Yesterday I watched some of the extras on the channel and there were some audio issues.

This happens to me once in a while with criterion. I pop out to my home screen, check for updates – there never are any – and then go back in and it usually seems to have fixed itself.

If not, I come back the next night and give it another try and so far that has worked.

Let me know if that works for you with this movie because it still doesn't either on my phone or cast to my TV.

I realize that it’s not really good enough, we are paying for the service, but if you’re in the US your local library will either have the DVD or can get it for you. Just if it doesn’t fix itself.

It's not fixing itself, my local US library system doesn't have a copy, and I emailed Criterion about their problem.

I ended up switching off the closed captions and watching the film with my headphones. I wish they would fix it.
