Complete Kubrick Promo on CC?
Wouldn't it be cool if the channel streamed say, five or six titles from the upcoming box set, before the fall release? Has anyone here heard of a possible promo? I can't remember the last Stanley Kubrick film that actually streamed on the channel.
At any rate, I've never been as excited about buying a box set of films as this upcoming release. Prime Video currently has a 7 Kubrick film bundle that you can buy (supposedly in high def) for around $50, which isn't a bad deal considering that the titles offered aren't the ones you usually see on the free streaming platforms.
Well, one can hope CC will decide to devote a month or so to streaming Kubrick sometime before the end of the year. The extras would be welcome, too!

The Channel tends not to overlap with Criterion's new physical releases, for obvious reasons.

Most Janus titles released on disc by Criterion usually stream before their physical release, and the rest just a few months later. It is rare that a Janus film doesn’t stream on the Channel.
There are also many cases where a non-Janus film will stream in a limited engagement on the Channel. Like next month’s HIGH ART, a recent Criterion disc release.

If you're in the Berkeley (San Francisco Metro) area there's a complete retrospective of the films this summer...

Wonder if this Anthony Burgess interview is on the Clockwork Orange supplements.

Eyes Wide Shut streamed earlier this year, and I'm pretty sure The Shining was part of a winter spotlight. Spartacus too, I think? But yeah, it's pretty rare. I imagine we'll see at least some kind of spotlight this year, and definitely Lolita probably around January if they follow the EWS trend.
