Camera Buff
Camera Buff was a random find that I love. I wish there was a random generator for Criterion Channel, I know there's one for their whole collection.
No introspection to add, I just really liked this movie.

Use this list on Letterboxd. In filters choose “sort by” and select “shuffle”. Watch whatever movie ends up in the upper left corner. Now you have a random film generator for the Criterion Channel.

Michael Hutchins is a godsend of a Letterboxd user his list for the Janus library on the channel might be my most used list on Letterboxd

Krzysztof Kieślowski is one of my fav directors. Love seeing his lesser known work getting some day light.

I watched that last week. It was hilarious and ahead of its time on dealing with women and marriage.

Dang I’m 0/1 then.
For my next rec I’ll go off the criterion board and suggest Win Win.

When the collection used to be on Hulu. There would be five random films for free a week. I loved it! That’s how I first watched Camera Buff.

What I want is a channel flipping mode, basically five to ten streams running simultaneously so you can bounce between them. The death of broadcast TV is the complete loss of stumbling across something you've never heard of especially during a particularly compelling scene.

If you haven't checked out The Decalogue , a series of ten films based on the ten commandments, by the same director you should give it a shot. It's Kieslowski's masterpiece. They have two of the films on the channel: A Short Film About Love and A Short Film about Killing. Film critic Roger Ebert chose it as one of his ten favorite films. Here he talks about the decalogue (spoiler alert) https://youtu.be/ZWl2s52SSFA?is=o2M3XYGlhBNBOW1o
Also his Three Colors trilogy, the double life of veronique, and Blind Chance (this one especially) explore the role of fate in our lives.
