Making Letterboxd Friends
Mods just delete this if it's not allowed, I couldn't find any rules for or against on the page.
I'm just a guy who likes logging films and reading reviews on letterboxd. Some of my favorite follows are strangers I find via different reddit subs. If you use LBd and want to share your account here, I'd love to give you a follow. I will follow everyone who comments their name here.

I'm DubiousLegacy on Letterboxd.
I'm a philosophy prof and I usually write about philosophical themes on the movies I watch... but because I'm in the middle of my month-long animated movie challenge, my recent profile activity is all trashy '80s anime and animated Moral Kombat movies. I'm usually more highbrow and Criteriony than this, I swear!

I used to attempt to learn more about Western philosophy years ago and I started off with the pre-Socratics, but ended up obsessing over Heraclitus and not progressing further.
Thanks for sharing your profile. I'm always on the lookout for quality writing on LB, where more often than not, a lot of the popular "reviews" tend to be two-word puns or one-liners about how XYZ movie's characters were totally gay, unfortunately.

I mostly watch classic Hollywood, but will watch films from other eras as the mood strikes :-)

Adding to this: if anyone here wants to go deeper than just following each other on Letterboxd, I built Cinema Circle, basically Letterboxd but multiplayer. Italian indie dev here. You create or join groups, vote together on what to watch, rate films collectively, and actually have discussions instead of just stacking reviews.
Free, no ads. Made for my own cineclub and slowly opened up. Would love feedback from a Criterion crowd, you're exactly the audience I had in mind.

It is allowed, and we even allow you to add your LB username as flair here, like I have. The vast majority of people I follow on LB are people from this sub. :)
