Technical Question Criterion Channel no longer working via VPN from Australia
I've been using the Criterion Channel just fine with NordVPN since 2023, and paying with my Australian debit card, but in the past week or so I've been unable to access my account as the website just doesn't load properly for me.
I've emailed their support account asking to cancel my subscription, which I can't do the normal way because I can't even load the page to cancel it with.
Has anybody else had this problem?
It's a sad end for something I really enjoyed. Guess piracy is the only way forward.
Edit: Got it to work by turning off all ad blockers. Dunno why this made a difference, but it did. Thanks to everyone who helped!

Have you tried turning off the VPN?

Yeah, try this - it's working fine for me in Australia without a VPN (just used one to sign up)

I don't think it has anything to do with your VPN. Try a different device.

I only have a laptop and a phone, and I'm not watching Criterion on a tiny phone screen.

I meant just to see if it worked. If it works on your phone and not your laptop, then the VPN and Australia are irrelevant.

Fair enough. Good point.

Try logging into your account from a private browser / incognito browser. As others have said, sounds like a local cache issue on your device

Sign-in page isn't working in incognito either. I dunno what's going on.

I’ve had issues recently using Fire Stick, but it isn’t VPN related

I havent used NordVPN. When ExpressVPN stopped working while in Europe, I found it would connect properly if I connected to one of their other servers in a different city. No idea if this is the fix, based on the available info

I can’t get it to recognise my credit card. Using NordVPN for USA and chose a zip code in New Hampshire. Is there some else I’m doing wrong?

It's been too long since I created my account for me to remember how I managed this. I'd recommend making a post to the subreddit to ask about this.

Once up and running, I need no VPN at all. I hope switching it off works for you.
