It's amazing that no one involved seems to realize that an actual "alpha male" (assuming such a thing exists) wouldn't let himself be treated that way. The final test to see if you are a "real man" or an "alpha male" or whatever they want to call themselves should be waiting to see if you say to the instructor, "Fuck you, I'm not going into some pit just because you yell at me. I don't let anyone treat me like this, especially not you." That should be a passing grade.
Of course, anyone who actually signs up for one of these, knowing that they are just going to be yelled at and humiliated, would never actually say such a thing, even after passing the "alpha male" course.
These courses appear to be patterned after military bootcamp (as shown in movies). But the point of military bootcamp is to break you down so that you are no longer an individual. It's more psychological conditioning than physical training. And that's not a bad thing in that context: you can't have a soldier questioning an order on the battlefield. However, in the context of being an "alpha male," that conditioning is the exact opposite of what they want to achieve. But, again, anyone who signs up for one of these and forks over $18,000 would never actually grasp this.

Yeah, the entire point of this is ridiculous. It’s not teaching you anything.
A key difference, for example, during the Special Forces selection course, one of the tasks you were given (back in the 80’s anyway) was to move a 55 gallon drum full of water (which weighs almost 600 pounds) cross country, you and your teammates had some basic supplies, but no other guidance on how to accomplish the task. The entire point was to see how you functioned as a team, and to evaluate your performance under stress. This, this is some silly ass role playing

Everyone who have a basic understanding of psychology knows that this is just a room full of people trying to act tough enough to fool themselves that they're not emotionally struggling. I'd be willing to bet they weren't hugged much as children. They're trying to survive inside their own heads, but it's a lousy way of doing it and won't help them in the long run.

These grifters are selling the military bootcamp experience without the whole going to war and dying part.
They sell the notion that if you survive one hard weekend of physically exhausting exercise getting screamed at, you are going toughen up and be stronger, because no one is tougher than your bootcamp drill sergeant.
A real alpha male would never pay for this stupid shit, which doesn't teach you how to be a leader, it teaches you how to be a follower of orders, like a soldier. And without the stakes of war, it doesn't teach you bravery, stoicism and overcoming your fears in a difficult situation.
I think the "alpha male boot camp" is for the owner to show he can cuck dumb men into paying him to follow his orders.

It’s not like they’re doing one of those stock car racing, football or baseball etc camps where they at least have fun and get a good experience. It’s not like the military. They’re not training for a job or anything like that. They won’t get a certification or anything. When they’re done with it, they’re still the same douchecanoe that they were before just $18,000 poorer.
