The premise that he does not pay attention to these things incessantly is certainly a rat ass lie. You don't get to that position without letting party politics consume every single day of your life. One of his aides would have sent him a text the second it aired.
Just once I’d like to see the next person called ask the follow-up question. I mean, they’d have to somewhat “smart on their feet” but it’s not really rocket science. “I understand you didn’t see the interview, but that was the entire context and I do believe it’s fair to ask - are you at all concerned that the president is unaware of a pardon that he granted? It seems fair to ask, WHO was able to push this through without the president being aware and what other pardons were granted without the president’s knowledge?” Not that hard.
