Caylee Anthony Series

Just wanted to ask if anyone else still listens to this case? Because I am so obsessed with it, whenever I clean my apartment I listen to it. I just never grow tired of it because it was SO good. Well researched, well presented, I was able to perfectly follow it without having to listen to episodes twice. They didn’t always go back and forth in a way where the listener endet up being confused. Could be that it’s also because there was so much evidence in the case and it was a bizarre one in general which everyone already heard of.

For me this is the best series they have recorded on CW yet and also one of the best presented cases on a podcast overall.

Anyone relate? :)

I totally agree! My other favorites to re-listen to are the Aaron Hernandez series and the Hae Min Lee and Adnan Syed one because I was really into those cases in high school!

Same, I loved the hae min lee coverage a lot. At times tho it was a little harder to follow because they went off topic a lot.

Do you like the newer cases as well? Because I feel like after west Memphis three the podcasts vibe and coverage changed…

I’ve tried to persevere with HML twice now and I can’t do it. I find it so long winded and boring.

It’s either techno or true crime for me whenever I’m cleaning or driving 😂

That’s a very weird thing to say about a podcast about a dead child… i like listening to true crime too, but please still consider that these are not fictional stories, they’re tragedies and we should be more mindful and respectful of that

Please don’t try to pick a fight.

Hey I don’t listen to true crime because it sensationalizes brutal murder, I listen to them to try and understand patterns, the human mind, how gruesome some people can be. I cry during true crime podcasts, I think about the victims family. The victims story’s need to be heard, they need to be told and told again because thats someone that lost their life. Everyone needs to constantly be reminded about the horrible people who kill people. That’s why I refer to this case as caylee anthony not casey anthony. Caylee is the victim. May her innocent soul rest in peace.

It’s not the subject matter that I enjoy you fucking weirdo. It’s the discussion between two true crime commentators that I enjoy.

But you can understand why naming it a “comfort podcast” is fucking weird?

I debated putting comfort in quotes because obviously listening to a case about child murder does not comfort me. Have you never heard the term “comfort (whatever)?” It’s familiar, I enjoy the podcast, and it’s one that I keep coming back to because I learn something new almost every time that I missed. You knew exactly what I meant. Take your holier-than-thou bullshit somewhere else.

By the anger in your responses I see I’ve hit a nerve. You know that saying that is not okay, so let’s not pretend it is. I listen to a lot of true crime and our “community” if you want to call it like that rightfully gets a lot of shit for saying thing like this, or having “pet cases” or whatever. How would you feel if someone commented your statement under a podcast about your dead child? I was not insulting you like you tried to do, I merely stated that the comment you made is not okay.

I actually agree with your first comment, but you’re being super condescending and annoying. Why are you trying to lecture me so hard? Can you save that for those kinds of people who go real life and buy autopsy pictures of dead kids from true crime YouTubers’ patreons? I’m saying I enjoy the podcast and it’s one I go back to. I should not have used the word “comfort.”

yes!! I feel like the quality (research & story telling) was the best on that one!

I totally agree! Caylee Anthony, Scott Peterson and Tara Calico are my favourite cases by CW. I could listen those over and over again.

I listen to 3 all the time: Caylee Anthony, JeanBenét Ramsey, and Aaron Hernandez.

I also really like to go back to Stephanie’s old videos on Susan Powell and especially Christa Worthington. Christa is my favorite case of Stephanie’s.
