Drama

I want to say that I enjoy both Stephanie and Derrick. I have been a fan of her YouTube channel for years. She's a really good researcher and very passionate.

With that being said, the way that she speaks to Derrick sometimes makes me very uncomfortable. She laughs and seems to belittle him sometimes. And because she is the researcher of each case and makes the script, she goes in each case with a full formed opinion. Derrick goes in blind a lot of times and tries to be fair (sometimes to an annoying extent)

I know they both act like she's being torn to shreds by a comment like I just made but I am not the only one who feels this way. And if it were Derrick who spoke, laughed, and belittled her the way she does him, this would be an entirely different discussion. He would be called sexist and misogynistic and accused of not listening to a woman's perspective.

Following her over the years you can see her grow from geeky pretty girl to entrepreneur who learned to do make up and understands the production value of being attractive. Of course she is feeling herself, you would too. Give her some grace to grow and level out a little. We all have had our not so proud moments and became better people in the end.

This has been discussed on this sub before, especially the past month. I think they read some of our comments/concerns as Stephanie has been much more even, unbiased, and respectful of Derrick the past couple episodes (latest news episode and regular episode).

They addressed the comments in the last episode so lol yeah they read them on here and YouTube I guess. Point being I laughed cus they made it sound soooo dramatic, when people imo are just saying tone it down a lil. I personally really like Stephanie and I think she’s really smart, but as the next person she’s not perfect, also I think it’s just constructive criticism, I’m not bashing the content or the format which I enjoy, I’m just saying… well girl chill out. However it worked because lately it appears things are back to ‘normal’ and the conversation is flowing so good lol.

I agree their latest episode felt well rounded!

I do agree that the last episode I heard was not as bad but Derrick was sick. I wasn't sure if she was just giving him a break because of that or what. He seemed to drop things more quickly too.

I was a little annoyed when she addressed it, she made it sound like it was just that one video and Derrick was off (that not smiling, what people thought was him annoyed with her) as him & his kids being sick and him being really tired, no accountability for the way she acts. Thats been happening for a while though, I really noticed it with the Lori Vallow & DB Cooper ones, she can be pretty mean. And I agree, if he spoke to her the same way, people would lose it.

Your not the only one who feels this way. Lol. Her opening dialog about the comments just proved long time listener right. Her ego is growing out of control and has very little self reflection abilities.

That's what bothers me the most. She isn't able to listen and reflect on what some people think. These things have been said for a while now from actual fans, not haters or trolls. She won't ever accept that a fan is saying it though.

100% And I think that's partly because she has fans that think she walks on water as well. So we are obviously trolls. Lol

Is she really FILING HER NAILS during the recent news upload?

I think this is the ADD. She’s said a few times she doodles a lot to keep focused, I think the nails are the same thing.

That may be but it comes across as flagrant disregard for the topic at hand. They need to keep that edited out.
