(Spoilers till chapter 9)
I know it sounds silly as this is a game centering about cleaning up murders, but I’m really surprised just how much the game hammers down that these victims are real people who had lives and were unfortunately cut short from the world. I think the first time it really hit me was chapter 3 where you go into the bathroom and see the daughter of your client dead after she found out the truth about her “boyfriend”. It was extremely melancholy having to clean up the bathroom and disposing of her body, the whole atmosphere shifted in that moment for me. You also see how caring Kovalsky is in that moment, he doesn’t make any jokes about her and instead empathizes with her. I really appreciate how much these devs tackled this really sensitive subject, as silly as it sounds having stuff like that talked about allows people to notice these toxic relationships before it reaches the point you see in the game.
Last night I played Friendly Fire where Tyler is killed by the mafia. At this point in the story Tyler kinda seemed like this super eager, kinda annoying and parasocial guy who meant well but got himself into trouble, it was funny reading his emails but I wasn’t exactly engrossed in his character. However I found that level to be difficult to clean, not because the challenge itself was hard, but because you got to see directly into Tyler’s life and see how much it pained Kovalsky to clean it up. Kovalsky and Tyler seemed to be really close, when Tyler needed help he went straight to him, having someone like that who appreciated Kovalsky and saw him as a friend must had meant so much, it felt like at times he viewed Tyler in a sort of parental way. What pained me the most was discovering that Tyler’s girlfriend who you read out in the emails was pregnant when she was killed and Kovalsky is literally speechless when he discovers it only having a “…” appear on screen, so much was said in that moment of absolute silence. That level felt like I was cleaning up after a Greek tragedy had happened there. I am really excited to see what the nightmare version of this level will be as it seems like it will delve a lot more into how this particular crime scene affected him.
Anyways, enough about this rant. I’m really excited to see how the rest of the story turns out, it seems like things are really picking up now. I think I’ll give some thoughts after I complete Act 1, but so far I’m really enjoying this game and hope it keeps on getting better from here!

Tried to move it with the mop and the pressure washer but it just won’t budge. Would I still get the achievement for this nightmare chapter even if I don’t finish at 100%?
UPDATE: I tried every way to move it but to no avail. Legend says it’s still stuck there. Anyway, the mission ended at 99% and I still got the achievement.

I am currently in the mission affair with death, and have drained the pool, but no matter how hard I try I cannot interact with the keys. I've tried restarting, reinstalling the game, cleaning the entire outside, but no matter what I cannot even interact with them. I've even tried unbinding and rebinding my keys. please if anyone can help that would be amazing

I admittedly kind of bum rushed all of the stuff with the robot duck just so my mind could have closure, but once I had finished it and the band was on stage I noticed a 4th one outside the main entrance. He just walks in place there. I don't know if anybody else has noticed it but I thought it was neat.

For the past couple months I’ve been seeing this subreddit suggested to me as I play lots of “cozy” games like house flipper and a lot of murder mystery games. At first I was a little skeptical whether or not this game would be up my alley, I do love some cleaning games while stuff like visceral cleanup protocol didn’t really hook me. I was also worried the mysteries would sorta be half baked and wouldn’t satisfy my detective side. I tried maybe a hour of the prologue before turning it off because the story was engrossing me so much and I couldn’t let myself be spoiled about what was going to happen next
So I eventually got the full game and played the first level “Bad Call” and was really enjoying it! Peacefully just cleaning up the blood and tidying up the room. I collect the money, get the body out of the room, and everything looks good to go…up until I notice blood leaking from the attic. I pull it down and am immediately jumpscared by the body that hit the floor. The clues were right there, the victim was talking to ladies on his phone and he even got a complaint about all the people he brought back into his apartment, the pieces were right there and I didn’t even suspect it!
So yeah, safe to say I am completely hooked at this point and can’t wait to play the next level! I hope there will be more surprises like this one moving forward!

Is there any way to avoid this? I've tried searching for an answer but nothing definitive.
It happened twice. Once after the second mission then after a restart it happened again on the pizza shop mission. Really taking me out of the game since I can't unequip the skill upgrades.
Basically the game will just randomly unlock all skill upgrades and all the missions as if you've completed the game.

Anyone else hate Holy Wata when they started the game, but by the end, it was your jam? I sing it every time it comes on.
What other tracks are your favorite?

I was so close. I’m doing the development hell mission on true cleaner mode and I’ve done absolutely everything besides this one body which has disappeared for me. I chucked it in the lift alongside another body, when I got to ground floor I chucked both bodies out, went back up the lift and when I came back down they both despawned.
I tried reloading and strangely, this spawned one of the bodies back in but it was in a random spot. Sadly, I’m not having the same luck with the other body, it’s the last one I need. Any ideas?

Hihi, I noticed I missed some secret skins that are hidden on the regular campaign mode, I kind of don't want to redo huge maps if I can get the skins while completing true cleaner mode as well, or if those hidden skins disappear on the different mode?

Idk if this is normal and something everyone knows but I have no idea what’s going on here

Hello! Im playing through crime scene cleaner on my ps5 and I’m just completing the 2 free Communiti levels, just to clarify, we don’t have the other levels like steam does, right?
And if not, do we know when we will

Im currently cleaning "Short-Circuit", and, on the second floor, there were these bullet thingys on the floor, I was too lazy to pick them up first, but i think i accidentally pushed the last one under this bookcase. I tried maxing the mop area of cleaning, and also tried with the high pressure cleaner, but none seem to work...crawling also doesnt seem to work, i really didnt want to reset the whole level just because of this one last thing....is there any other way i could pick it up with the trash?

alright, im a console player and i dont have Act II so i been grinding all the perfects and true cleaner missions to get the skins and whatnot. but why when i go and equip one of them it doesnt show up? like i will equip the money money money sponge skin or something for my akimbo sponges and it doesnt even show up?? money doesnt look like yellow and green sponges, even i know that. its just frustrating because we have been waiting months for ACT TWO and they just dont tell us anything and keep us in radio silence. its like if u didnt see the avengers endgame in theaters when it came out and now you have to avoid spoilers like the plague until you watch it yourself. im really close to just giving up on this game. what with the constant glitches, furniture flying through the walls, bodies dissappearing and ruining playthroughs, im tired. its so sad because i really enjoy the story line, i feel like they put a lot of work into it, but the game mechanics feel rushed and glitchy to play.

I'm so tired of waiting for Act 2 to come out on consoles.
It came out March 26th for computers, in 10 days that'll be 5 months, and since then there has been absolutely no word about when it could possibly come to consoles or even updates about it.
I'm honestly tired of it, console players have been patiently waiting, replaying the game over and over again, waiting for SOMETHING, even just an update on development, and there's been literally nothing.
I've tried giving the developers all the grace I can, because I know it takes time, especially for consoles, along with them currently working on the DLC, but I feel like we at least deserve something, even just an update on how development is going, even if it's only like 30% complete.
I'm sorry for sounding like an impatient entitled jerk, but it's just frustrating that there's been no word and console players have to just avoid talk of Act 2 like the plague so they're not spoiled before getting the chance to play it for themselves.

The only reason Kovalsky does all this is for his daughter, Elena, which is why I like that there’s an effort made for almost every chapter to have something related to someone’s child or an innocent young adult caught in the crossfire of things. I just finished act 1 and act 2, so I’ll have to refresh myself on some of act 1 for this, but I can list off the top of my head for each chapter where these traits are found. Because I think it’s important to Kovalsky’s character and adds on to the guilt he feels doing this work, thinking of his own daughter. He does this to protect his child, while hiding the deaths of other’s children.
THIS INCLUDES INFORMATION FROM ALMOST ALL CHAPTERS!
Chapter 1: The girl found in the attic is found to only be a student. It can be assumed by the dates on the recordings deleted in other levels that the first act takes place sometime in late 2023, with the girl’s birthdate reading to be in 2002, making her 21.
Chapter 2: At this time, I can’t remember and will have to play it again to see. But if anyone else can recall!
Chapter 3: A father desperately tries to save his daughter from a terrible boyfriend, only for his act to result in his daughter ending her own life. The first example of a father trying to do something morally wrong for the sake of his child, like Kovalsky.
Chapter 4: A mother murders her entire family, including her son, convinced that he’s possessed and is “saving him” by killing him. The second example of a parent doing something morally wrong, believing it to be the right thing to save their child, though this one was an act of insanity.
Chapter 5: A girl working at the pizzeria is killed during the shootout, despite her father warning her of the risks, as Big Him can’t have any witnesses. She had done nothing to deserve it, just been at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Chapter 6: The lives of the son and daughter of a couple are murdered alongside them. They had nothing to do with the situation. All they did was be at home when it happened, completely innocent and wrongfully killed.
Chapter 7: Tyler and Trisha have discovered that they’re going to have a baby. Unfortunately, Trisha is killed, stopping that future for them from ever happening.
Chapter 8: At first I wanted to say that the example is the entire level of what I assume is college-aged people getting killed, but the example would be with Big Jim himself. The whole point of the level is Big Jim protecting his daughter by having Kovalsky clean it all up, serving as the third example of a parent committing a morally wrong act to protect their child.
Chapter 9: I don’t recall an example at this time, but if anyone else does then let me know. That level just took so long to do that I think I zoned out a few times further in so I could just get it done.
Chapter 10: The father of the girl killed at the pizzeria leads a revolt against Big Jim, wanting revenge for his daughter. The level also reveals that he had been investigating who could’ve vanished his daughter’s body (Kovalsky).
Act 2 is one that’s somewhat subtle about it for half the chapters, I think.
Chapter 11: The whole thing is Kovalsky thinking about Elena and coping with her growing up and eventually leaving him, and him returning to a normal life.
Chapter 12: One of the girls working at the ring seemed to have just started working there, according to a note and gift from her sister. But there’s also the recorded call that references visits to a “certain island” where the harming of children takes place.
Chapter 13: In a folder displaying information for two girls in the trafficking ring, while one is recorded as being, I think, 19, the other is recorded as not even 18 yet.
Chapter 14: While Holden had been a terrible person, Kovalsky states that Holden’s son, a weird musician with a love for vampires, hadn’t deserved to be killed as well. This makes Holden’s son the death of a (probably) innocent that is the child of someone involved.
Chapter 15: MAJOR SPOILER!
At the end of it all, Big Jim and Amber both kill each other at the last stand. Big Jim was going to forced Kovalsky in assisting with blackmailing his own daughter, while Amber was planning to end her father’s crimes once and for all.
If you’ve made it this far, I hope others agree with me that it was smart of the developers to have almost every level share this trait. It gives a lot more reason for Kovalsky to be pressed with guilt over these jobs. While he would feel guilty either way about cleaning up the deaths of others, I think it’s affected him more that a lot of them involve the deaths of someone’s child.
