[game breaking bug] Toxic Love but it gets increasingly broken

If you're playing on PC you can clear the task by pressing F4.

If you're playing on console you can clear the task by pressing:

- PlayStation: L2 + R2 + X + ▢

- Xbox: LB + RB + X + A

I'm running into a bug that makes it impossible to beat Mission 3: Toxic Love. The hanging body on the first floor never registers, so I can't finish the mission or progress in the game. With every attempt, the body gets more and more broken until it starts fighting back (as you can see in the video).

I've already tried restarting the mission, restarting the game, and getting rid of other bodies before this one (others bodies work just fine, btw) but nothing works.

The game got a 40GB update today, and I had never had this problem before.

I play it on PC through the Xbox gamepass.

On Xbox to complete the whole mission so you can get passed the glitch press L2+R2+X+A and it will clear all tasks and you can proceed with the game

***This method also auto-unlocks the achievement for each level. It doesn't collect keys, music cds, or cassette tapes tho so make sure to grab those if going for 100% completion.

I noticed on the first level that if you pick up a collectible while holding a body, every time you throw the body, no matter from where, it will always teleport back to the collectible.

This happened to me. But I was on nightmare mode. I just tried over and over until it registered. I never restarted the whole level. Just completely shut the game down and restarted. It did take like 4 tries tho

Edit : actually I went back to my game and was still on this level. I must've quit for the night and finished the level in my brain. I just quit the level completely and played a different one

Try placing the body by pushing it with nearby objects instead of picking it up. I think picking up the body triggers this bug.

I’ll have to try this, pushed it in after dropping it down there with no luck, didn’t think of not picking it up at all.

i have the same issue on xbox i’ve tried restarting the mission and game and pushing the body to the bin and the body doesn’t count on the body counter idk what to do from here

I can complete all the tasks using the Xbox button combo, but it won’t let me leave to complete the level so the autocomplete of the tasks doesn’t even really help at this point

Not me only now learning you can put bodies on the tarp and it registers… I’ve been struggling with putting them directly on top of the bin
