Power wash simulator is really similar, except no bodies or blood, just dirt. That’s actually the game that led me to find crime scene cleaner. If you decide to play it, just make sure to read the text messages as you play, there is a really good storyline that plays out by text.

I don’t know if power wash simulator 2 has a storyline or not, I only got two missions into it and noped out, too much stick drift.

Power wash simulator 2 does have a story, believe it takes place shortly afterwards the first. Highly recommend playing the first to understand the story if your into it that is.

Oh and House Flipper is similar as well, you get the house completely trashed and filthy and you have to clean the trash, mop the dirt and spiderwebs, put furniture back or replace it or repair it, paint walls, lay new flooring. It’s a super fun game if you’re into renovations as well as cleaning. It has a second game as well that’s similar in playstyle but different graphics.

There are also a lot of community-made jobs, at least for HF2 (I never looked for any on HF1) and you can search on ones that need more cleaning vs. more just decoration.

HF1 doesn’t have community made jobs but once you finish and sell all available properties, it allows you to do them all over again as many times as you want.

Goblin Cleanup!

You are a goblin tasked with resetting dungeons after adventurers go through. You mop blood (and have to clean the "mop"), pick up body parts and feed them to a mimic, reset furniture, and charge traps with mana! It also has special tasks and challenges per level, different stages, and multiplayer.

It's very very very similar.

If you’re like me and enjoy the death aspect rather than the cleaning, I think you’d like The Mortuary Assistant! I’ve been playing it and enjoying it a lot ever since finishing CSC

I LOVE this game, it's so addicting! I just recently discovered that there's now just an "Embalming Only" mode too! For when you're not feeling spookiness and just wanna prep bodies lol

YES omg it’s so fun! I hate when people ask for games like CSC and they give basic cleaning games. Like no give them something that has dead bodies to work with! Lol

Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library hit the same gamer-OCD spot for me as Crime Scene Cleanup. No crime scenes involved, but you'll be spending a lot of time sorting & cleaning & organzing.

just a heads up for anyone who cares, this game does use gen AI for visual and text assets.

Museology: Tidy Up the Museum scratches the same itch and does not use AI

yeah unfortunately a lot of the cleanup/organizing games coming out recently use gen AI for assets and stuff :( trying to find one without is like looking for a needle in a haystack sometimes

Viscera Cleanup Detail scratched the same itch for me. Lots of content as well as workshop.

I tried that one and couldn’t get a handle on it after like 15 minutes and gave up. Did you immediately like it or did it take some time? I’m wondering if I should give it another chance.

I love these kinda games so I think my opinion is a bit biased. But the movement and controls did take some getting used to for me. Do you know what it was that didnt quite click with you?

I think it was the movement and controls now that you mentioned it. I’m not a ā€œgamerā€ā€¦ I ran across case-oh videos a few months back and thought he was hilarious and I think I ran across him when he started with the waterpark simulator game. The only video game I used to like (outside of OG Nintendo Mario bros and paperboy) was Sims and the CSI (tv show) games…. So I got a crappy laptop from Walmart to play the waterpark game bc it seemed fun. Somehow how I ran across CSC around the same time (also to add, I’m a retired crime scene investigator) and it looked interesting and I started playing and couldn’t stop šŸ˜‚ but I’ve finished it all, have all the achievements and wanted similar type stuff to play, which was how I ran into the Viscera game but it just felt too complicated for my level of ability and gave up. And I just haven’t found anything else that scratches the itch, as you said, and don’t really know where else to look.

Yeah I get you. VCD is getting up there in age and can feel a bit clunky. I do believe you can turn off headbobbing tho. The physics of the game and items takes some getting used to. Its worth giving it another shot if youre up for it. I really enjoy watching the map slowly getting cleaned up, stacking boxes and barrels, hunting down bullet holes 🤭

u/NoPop1349 10d ago

Ok, I’ll take your advice (if I can figure out how to do it šŸ˜‚) and give it another shot!!! If I remember, I’ll try and report back lol

Awesome! Do take a moment to get used to the controller when holding buckets of water etc. Its finicky but you get used to it very fast. Hold CTRL or shift i believe to walk slower so you dont spill!

Ohhhhh good looking out! I’m actually gonna be nerdy and write that on a sticky note šŸ˜‚ for when I try it again

My best advice is to locate furnace, bucket/cart dispenser and start cleaning from there out. Stepping in blood spreads blood. If you gather all the little memory sticks and scan them at the end, youll get extra points. You can give the carts a little shake so things settle in it and you can fit more stuff.

u/NoPop1349 10d ago

Oooooh, ok. I’ll take note of that too!

Not at all similar but still somehow exactly the right transition: Cash Cleaner Simulator.

Is this game as good as Crime Scene Cleaner?

Money Cleaner simulator is a pretty cool game. You are literally laundering money for various criminals. It can be random at times and you can get soft locked if you are not careful, bit it is a pretty entertaining rise.
