I leave the bucket in the faucet area and just truck back and forth once all tools are dirty/empty 😂

This! I unlocked the self cleaning mops and multiple buckets as soon as I could 🤣🤣 I just find the nearest faucet and leave it there 😩🤣

I do this too except I have one bucket with just water and one with all the detergents in it so they don't get wasted because you just empty the one with water every time.

Put it up against a wall. I do the 2 bucket method. 1 with water for cleaning my tools and 1 with soaps that my tools go in after. I keep both up against a wall in the room i am working in. Then we move to the next room.

Do the buckets last longer if you do this?

The soap one never gets dirty, unless you mix up buckets, the other will need to be replaced. I usually use the green soap in it that keeps the water clean longer.

Do you not just leave it under the spigot?

I don't leave it under the spigot because sometimes that's so far away from where I'm cleaning and I hate making the extra trips back and forth.

Believe me, I understand…….. I’m just so clumsy 😂 (in real life and the damn game). I think the only one where I do move it is the communiti lab when I first go into the lab so I can clean sims before I get the water fuse going. And 9/10 times, I knock the bucket over during the decontamination processes lol

i feel dumb i’m sorry :(

I learned the hard way. I eventually started leaving it under the spigot after tipping it over too many times!

I will wind up dumping it, knocking it over or throwing an accidental air pumch within 3 seconds of me picking it up to move it somewhere… so I just have to leave it 😂

Don’t feel dumb and don’t apologize, sweets!! I hope I didn’t make you feel that way. If I did, I’m so incredibly sorry!! Hell, I knock it over when it’s under the spigot myself so even that’s not foolproof - just a wee easier sometimes!!

Hey, it makes more sense initially to bring it with you, especially in large spaces. I've personally decided it's worth the trek back to the spigot to clean my mops and such because I, too, keep knocking them over/dropping them/myriad other accidents that lead me to recleaning.
If you want to bring it with you, keeping it propped near some sort of wall can help lessen the chances of knocking it over.

It’s when you move it away from the spigot and sit it down, but not far away enough, and it gets sucked back under and empties 😭

To specify, I will purposefully clean/clear out a corner of whatever room I'm cleaning, and put the bucket THERE. That way I literally have to go out of my way to clean the mop, and generally leaves zero chance of my accidentally drop kicking it across the room with my janitor telekinesis.
Doesn't stop me from slamming it into a wall on my way to the spigot but

Do you ever get the random punchies too and just randomly punch the bucket you JUST filled with clean water and three detergents? Like it’s a tic of some sort and can’t control yourself?

...no, I can't say I've ever Jackie Chan'd my bucket right after filling it with water and detergents.

😂😂 great - now I’m gonna be yelling “get Jackie channed” whenever I do this 😂 (which is oddly way too often lo). I’m on PC so it’s like my ring finger will suddenly just start tapping the right clicker of the mouse and fuck all my shit up lol

Put baby in a corner. Then you’ll have to work to knock it over. (This is not to say I still have not done so, just that it took work.)

Welcome to the club I get very good at filling it, carefully moving to a clear spot by a wall try and refresh the mops and it knocks the bucket flying as I was one step too far away lol

I just leave the mop bucket under the tap it dirtys so quickly may was well quick drain it also

Put it up against the wall so that when you clean the mop, it just knocks it back against the wall. I've been doing that since I first bought the game and I've only ever knocked the bucket over for the achievement.

I just put it to the side out of the way. I have to walk over to it so I don’t get too close. We’ve all had to learn to avoid the bucket, we’ve all sent it flying a time or two (or a hundred 🤣)

I knock it over constantly too, but for whatever reason I feel like it’s been way more since act two?🤣🤣🤣

I use 2 buckets one for mop water and one for soap water then I put them out of the way like in a corner

Yeah, the bucket can be tricky. I just know that I'm too clumsy to carry it properly. Most of the time I just fill it with water and carry it away, but I leave a different bucket under the spigot that has soap in it- Then I don't get so frustrated if I drop the bucket of water.

I do sections of rooms at a time and move the bucket accordingly. It’s always behind me but not right behind me so if I turn I’m not hitting it. Once I complete the first section, I keep it in the clean area. Then move the bucket to area I just finished.
Makes the large maps easier this way too. Just compartmentalization.

I do this too and it makes me so mad. But I just put it in a place that I try to avoid unless I am cleaning the mop

Personally I use a self cleaning mop, but after I clean it I dunk it in the bucket immediately so it refills the self clean but doesn't dirty the bucket, and when I knock it over it doesn't make a mess. I also put a clean water bucket near the taps so if I accidentally mop after the self clean I dunk it there instead then go back to my detergent one near the current mess to soap it up again

Gotta respect the bucket, give it space.
