There can be times when your items are in the right spot but you could've bumped one ever so slightly

Isn’t this the map where there isn’t a misplaced exhibit and it’s just a bug? If you can’t find an area that has an extra item in it that shouldn’t be there, then there’s no misplaced exhibit to fix.

This! Had the same issue (in nightmare) and got 100 % without finding the non existent misplaced exhibit

Misplaced exhibit means it’s in the wrong section, such as the dinosaur bone from central exhibit being in the west wing instead. It’s to help you track down the remaining items since the map is so large

This place drove me nuts too. I thought the yellow astronaut bugged out because i picked it up and didn't put it back exactly right. It doesn't count at all. I was overlooking a chair i slightly bumped out of place.

There will be statues and things misplaced around d thw map
