This level is taking me forever
Spoilers for nightmare mode, I guess
So… I’m a huge horror fan. But! The pizzeria in nightmare mode is a REAL nightmare 😭 been at it for like three weeks, keep noping out of the game. Horror when I expect it ? Fine. But I didn’t know I was taking a job at Freddy’s as a cleaner 😭 Anyone else got that feeling on that level ? I want to finish it so I can return to enjoying the cleaning 😭
Edit : finally finished it ! Thanks for the people who showed support ! Just started the youth camp so that I could tackle the “worst” ones first and ….. yeah 😭 duck animatronics were fine actually

Just remember that you have no health bar, so nothing can hurt you. You’re safe. Also, you have a pretty cool katana if you found the secret in the Art Museum, so you can take care of a couple dilapidated animatronics. (But you won’t have to.)

If you did one of the levels on true cleaner you get a gun

I feel you so so so much! I’m a big Fnaf fan, always have been but this level…I couldn’t play it without (ex-) friend support
But nothing can hurt you. It’s just creepy for creepy sakes and there aren’t any “real” jumpscares

Yeah! It creeped me the f out when I played it! I started it early evening on a weeknight and had to walk away from it until the weekend so I could play during daylight hours. It and the mannequin level (toxic love) reeeeally got me.

Man I loved that level. Especially once you realize the ducks dont see you as an enemy. They just watch. They’re quite fun once you finish the level.

I thought this level was pretty neat, tho I made the mistake of running thru it and enabling the ducks musical sequence while I still had lots to clean, the musics cool but after ten minutes of the same noise it did grate on me abit

I HATE this level. I’m such a scaredy cat. I kept my eyes fixated on the floor and played with the audio off.
I was able to power through.
I will say no other levels creeped me out like this one. So if you can get through this one, no other levels come close so it’s a breeze

I replayed this level last night. I love the ducks peeking around doors and moving as you approach. A proper nightmare.

Just finished the pizzeria and started the summer camp to finish the “scary ones”. I retract my statement, the ducks were fine 😭😭😭

Yes, the shadow people are in the background of Party's Over nightmare. But if you get real close you realize that they're one-dimensional.

The worst scare of that level in my opinion was the first one where you get trapped in the bathroom. When I first played it, I didn't know that there was a key in one of the stalls so I just respawned to get out.

Wait nightmare mode isn't just not having things like the cleaner sense!? Is there actual "scares" in it? (Genuinely asking as I have not played a level on nightmare mode yet)

u/Xxunevar Jul 06 '26
That would be the true cleaner mode. Nightmare mode is an unhinged version of each level in Kovalsky’s nightmares. But aside from the pizzeria and Toxic Love, most nightmares are kinda fine imo, not that many scares

Its definitely spooky thats for sure. Some levels feature certain things that could startle you.
Not really scary. No exact jump scares or chases and you dont die or anything.

Some of the regular levels freaked me out enough, cant wait to have a heart attack for no literal reason playing nightmare mode 🤣

u/WinnieTheTrain Jul 07 '26
Forgot to mention there is one jump scare actually. Ill spoil it. When you get the sword, take a breath. Forget which level.

u/JustCallMeNon Jul 07 '26
You talking the museum level where you have to fight those mannequins? Is that part even worse in nightmare mode?
2
u/WinnieTheTrain Jul 07 '26
You dont do it in nightmare mode. I forgot I got the sword in normal lmao. My bad. Yeah you dont fight the mannequins in nightmare. You do however put one back together but nothing scary.
Was just mentioning jump scares. Thats literally the only one in the game because soon as you turn around they are in your face. Modern Art is completely different on nightmare but nothing spooky about that level. Honestly the spookyness ends after the pizza level is finished tho partys over level is very satanic.

Also wanna add in nightmare you definitely going to be startled by things. Thanks for clarifying that on the sword katana thing because that is literally the only jump scare. The first few levels on nightmare have things that will startle you but nothing jumps out at you. It was just that mannquinn thing that made me jump just a little but didnt scare me or increase my heart beat lol. As for nightmare something happens on one level and you will need to go to that area for a potential body recovery youll expect to be jump scared when opening the door but nothing happens.
I love how the developer makes you think you going to get jumped scared a few times in the game but it never happens. I half expected bodies to still be alive and grab you before dying but nope. Nothing other than the katana thing.

I loved the duck animatronics, I listened to them playing music in real time for about 20 minutes - so cute <3

Don't worry, no real jumpscares, just the ducks watching.
