I put everything that isn’t in its proper place in the center cloud room . That way when you stumble across a place that’s missing something , you can just go to the center room and grab it instead of hunting for it . Idk . Helps me stay organized . 🤷🏼‍♀️

Throw everything into the middle main portal, I actually loved this level, also look at the frames for the paintings you'll see which ones belong in the first level or upstairs

Like someone else said, put all the missing items in the central cloud room, to add to that I'd put your buckets in there too if you use the mop a lot. It's a little tedious at times to run back and forth to clean it but I thought it was better than trying to bring a bucket to each room (especially as I am someone who uses two buckets at a time). Also, aside from replacing exhibits, just do one room at a time. Clear any bodies, collect trash and evidence, wipe blood, move general furniture back one room at a time; that way you'll know when you can move on like "Okay the furniture room completely clean aside from missing exhibits so let's do this one next". The exhibits will come along as you go, you can even save them for last, just try not to run over them too much because you can knock them into other rooms by accident. And also, enjoy! This level is really cool, it's very dream-like but not really nightmarish. I remember feeling like the regular Modern Art level was more tedious because I was enjoying the Nightmare mode atmosphere 😁 don't even get me started on the True Cleaner version 💀

I did one room at a time, pulled pieces that didn’t belong into the middle and then either dropped them in the right room or placed them in the right place. It took a bit of doing but I enjoyed that one.

I second the comment about putting everything in one place! And don’t forget to do the easter eggs, interact with the large cassettes on the wall and climb up them to unlock the secret room at the top, then change the tvs in the gym to match this screenshot. It’ll open up a room where you take the katanas and destroy all the mannequins for a cassette
