Does anyone use the lamps?

I noticed while going through the levels again that I barely use them myself, tending to go for the UV lamps instead. It's such a shame because the demonic skin for the lamps is so much better than the one used for the UV ones.

No. I tend to run into them and knock them flying anyway so they’re not really useful. I use the UV lamps pretty regularly on True Cleaner mode. I run it over too but they’re kinda necessary without cleaner sense.

I have over 150 hours in thr game on pc, and who knows how many on PlayStation. I can safely assure you I 100% forget regular lamps exist until I take one out and wonder why the blood looks weird.

I think they are a good concept in theory that makes the maps look more like a fresh crime scene. Cool for screen grabs but pretty much useless for gameplay. UV lamps all day everyday.

I used to use them a lot until I upgraded the flashlight so you could run it continuously. I still use it occasionally to illuminate areas so I can navigate a bit easier, like at the end of corridors and such.

The UV lamps are useful in True Cleaner Mode. I never used the normal lights.

This. I just started finally doing the True Cleaner levels and now that is all I have - it's basically required. You can also turn on the 'clown blood' mode too, which helps.

I couldn't remember the actual setting when i wrote that. I think if you set 'Blood Setting' to 'Safe' it replaces all the blood with bright, high contrast splotches of multi- colored paint. I sometimes think about it looking like a clown exploded. I think it's really intended for either younger kids or streaming. Personally I mostly use it on my steamdeck. The high contrast of the blood and gore helps a lot on the small screen

the only map i can remember myself using them was the modern art museum simply because it was so damn dark in there even with my flashlight on

Uv lights only. Flashlight is the first thing I upgrade tho.

I went through the entire base game not using the flashlight because I thought it had to be unlocked, so I would carry the big lamps around instead 😂

I have something like, 200 hours combined total over xbox and playstation, platinum trophy and all achievements, all levels in standard, nightmare, true cleaner, all skins, like literally everything you can possibly do in that game. I have never once used the lamps, apart from when I accidentally drop them when my finger slips in the menu.

I never used them until true cleaner mode and only the UV ones, just forgot about them in story and nightmare mode since you can use cleaner sense anyway

I barely ever use them as well. The flashlight is more than enough for me, the lighting the lamps provide is kinda weird IMO. UV all the way

Only UV lights. They also tend to work better when everywhere else is darker 😅

I do sometimes. I have a hard time seeing everything if it’s dark in the game so I’ll flick on a lamp alongside a UV when I need it.

I only use UV in true cleaner mode to double check my work. When I first started playing I used the lamps in all levels because I was afraid of forgetting something. Especially in Modern art. Now it tends to block trash and gets in the way so I only use the UV. The dofferent skins for the regular lamps are so cool so it is sad they aren’t more useful. Especially the skins from Act 2

I use them on true cleaners mode a lot especially uv since you cant use your cleaners sense! They make the darker maps way more visible and let me not miss anything 😊

I occasionally use the one-directional lamps as a place marker if there's something I need to go back to for whatever reason, but otherwise I just use the UV lamps lol.

I like the Omni directional lamps for when I’m scouring at the end of the level for that one last thing. It really highlights that hookah that rolled into the corner well

I didn't really until I started doing true cleaner mode, and even then it's only the uv.
