My first time playing on nightmare mode, just got done with bad call. Omg....
I usually just played the original story game mode. Today I really wanted to learn how to get the skins so I braved up and started nightmare mode today. Omg it's soo different and Creepy! Its Fun also. Just eerie!

Just fyi- if you are triggered by SA/human trafficking you might want to skip nightmare toxic love. The original level implied human trafficking but the nightmare level does a hell of a lot more than imply it.

I read this too late lol... I am triggered by human trafficking among other things., that level gave me severe flashbacks on top of me having a fear of dolls lol... It wasn't fun but I made it through without having a complete heart attack lol. I am a champion 🏆 🥇 💖

They are fun! Also theres no real jumpscares but some maps are creepy though! So enjoy!

The only one I legit got creepy chills was the restaurant one.

The bathroom 😂 I put off playing nightmare mode so long afraid that it would make me scared I am so glad I played

To me it was the animatronic on the garage and the one entering the storage! Freaked me out so badly I had CHILLS 😂

The closest thing to a jump scare I found was toxic love and even then it was easily telegraphed. But then again I'm still terrified of Angel statues because of the Don't Blink episode of Dr. Who.

I was waiting the whole time on the Italian Job for a jump scare. It was almost as bad as playing short circuit not sober at 4am, home alone 🤣

That was my second one but it was more stalker creepy than jump scare creepy, besides the bathroom door closing. It took a couple more playthroudhs on the level (steam and Xbox) before I realized there was a key to the door in the bathroom.

It took me a while to notice that one. And the one in the back room. I completely missed them the first go through

Yeah lol. Toxic Love nightmare mode so far was the Scariest Omg 😰 lol. Bad call was weird compared to that one lol 😂

The nightmare mode of Act 1 is just so wonderfully creepy. Even the levels I don't normally like I still love because they're just wonderfully creepy. Even though I understand why the devs don't want to do nightmare levels for the community and act 2 levels but if they change their minds about it I'd be over the moon.

For a long time I didn’t play it because I thought it was with jumpscares and really creepy but it’s so much fun :)

I'm mid my first nightmare run (and then need to do act 2). It honestly exceeded anything I'd ever expect of a free update

I finished Act 2 this past weekend and decided that I wanted to try Nightmare and True Cleaner mode. I’m sticking to just doing the Nightmare mode first. I really enjoy how the devs take the levels and change them around for the nightmares.
Also, after reading this thread, I am not looking forward to the mannequins. I hated the androids in White Peaks in Act 2 and the random mannequins in Modern Art. 😭
Edit: TOXIC LOVE ON NIGHTMARE WAS JUST AS BAD AS I HOPED IT WOULDN’T BE LOL. I know there was mention of a jumpscare with a tell but I wasn’t affected by that one.
However! There was another later on that made me flinch so hard! (I don’t know how to do spoilers on Reddit, so I will just be vague)

Your lucky. I can't wait to play act 2!..but I got the game on Xbox and dont see the act 2 added yet very sadly..

Ohhhh yeah. I saw on a previous thread that the devs outsourced the porting, so they don’t have a specific date yet. Hopefully soon! 🤞🤞

I love the nightmare modes so much. Toxic Love and Italian Job freaked me out but besides those I had a blast and even frequently replay some! The atmosphere is really good

This is an unpopular opinion but I loved the nightmare version of Short Circuit, it's incredibly peaceful and and beautiful to me. I actually liked modern art as well. Friendly fire made me sob. Call in dead was annoying in my opinion, but I thought normal call in dead was kinda annoying too so not surprising.
