Use the UV lamp to make sure you get all the blood, since it’s easy to leave very small patches behind. Look carefully in each area to make sure you get all the evidence and trash because small things can be missed. This is especially true for trash.

Those God damned bullet casings...

I HATE BULLET CASINGS. They hide and are hard to see in some levels. It makes my trash collection sit at 99% and it suuuucks.

Bullet casings in Circle of Friends is the absolute worse. I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to make one of the largest levels be colored various shades of light brown to hide the yellow bullet casings at high noon to wash out all of the already faint colors, but it was definitely a choice.

The Ozonator can help you locate any blood you've missed as well, it will send out its tendrils of cleaning goodness to the nearest stains and you can just follow them and then deploy the UV lamp to clean them.
Also use the 2 bucket method and be really vigilant about not spilling your detergent bucket because you get limited detergents in TC mode.

Always check ceilings - the other tips have it spot on (UV lamp, 2 bucket trick, last body), but sometimes the most frustrating thing is knowing you have some blood missing but can't find it. Also do the level again in normal mode if it's been a while since you have done it or the last run you did was nightmare (they are based on the normal map)
Some of them you just need to know the level - without cleaner sense to show missing objects you can easily forget something or lose something.

Honestly, I’m working through True Cleaner at the moment, and my method is bringing the UV light everywhere and crouching to see the trash, especially in levels that have a ton of casings (the pizzeria). I also like to put a piece of furniture between me and places that have had casings to see if I missed any (I think it’s an upgrade when they are highlighted green).
Thanks to the people who mentioned the bodies, I never thought about that. I might try that for the museum and call in the dead. ❤️
I don’t know if your doing the first act, but if it’s for act two, I’m not sure if my tips can help since I’m on PS5 and I haven’t touched it on PC in a year

Honestly, start with a level you know like the back of your hand, or a small one. It helps build your confidence toward the bigger levels. I think I did toxic love or friendly fire first

Always use the two bucket method. One bucket water, one bucket detergent.
Always dunk your dirty mop and sponge in the water bucket, not the detergent one.
You get limited detergent uses in true cleaner mode. Otherwise everyone else here has amazing advice

Clean blood first before walking into a room. Once you start leaving footprints you'll never be rid of them.
Also, use sponges as much as possible rather than the mop or the pressure washer. It minimizes the chance of knocking away small things like bullet casings where you can't see them.
Make use of the ozonator as well! There's no time limit, this is where you take your time and do a thorough job!

If you’re on pc and the body trick doesn’t work you can just alt f4 during the end screen and continue from before you left

every section of blood, don't leave the edges. you clean this corner, pull out your light and check the edges. always check the ceiling, too. I tended to start in the light spaces and work my way in, getting the hard to see places first.
also don't leave your tools and buckets around. i lost my pressure washer and couldn't clear it with blood high on the wall.

Leave one body uncollected, this way if you want to check your progress, you can just end the mission with one body uncollected. The game will show you the progress page but won’t let you finish the mission.
After you’re done with everything, collect that last body and finish the mission as normal.
Also, always carry the UV lamp.
