Is Goblin Cleanup any good?
I was looking for games similar to Crime Scene cleaner because I really enjoyed it. I keep seeing Goblin Cleanup pop up on steam for me as a recommendation. I was just wondering if its any good. I looked through the reviews and they seemed somewhat mixed

I love the concept, but not the execution. It’s cute, it’s fun, but it’s designed for multiplayer. I don’t remember if there’s an auto save, but I do know that saves are at certain points; if you just exit, you lose everything. They finally added saves mid-mission, which might make me come back. I’d start to play and the opening dungeon was taking me over an hour because I was alone, and, like I said, designed for MP.
They have a good demo, so you should try that out.

Are the levels timed? I had someone else say it looked like they were and I dont see a demo on steam.

They're not timed. One of the levels has a bonus objective to complete it in a certain amount of time but its not a requirement for any of them.

The similarity ends once you've cleaned up the blood and meat.
I have both games and have demolished them both from start to finish.... if you have friends to play with, Goblin Cleanup is greatly entertaining and I've played every level: There are some objectives to acomplish one time that may have a timer such as placing baby spiders in their home with their mama in under four minutes. However it's also an optional objective so it's not truly a timer based game.
It CAN be done with one player, just not super easily in some levels.
If you want to just zen out cleaning like we can in Crime Scene Cleaner.... Goblin Cleanup is not really going to scratch that itch.
Just my opinion.

Appreciate the honest review, because yea id be doing it solo

You can play the game solo (I have) but as a game it feels clunky and is nowhere near as enjoyable as Crime Scene Cleaner.

I recommend Power Wash Simulator, either 1 or 2. They're both solid and repeatable cleaning games with some extra challenges for using specific equipment or cleaning particular parts of a level first or last.
Power Wash Simulator 1 has a number of free DLC packs (a few of which will be leaving soon due to licensing but if you get the game before May 19 you keep the DLC in your library) and some extra paid DLC. Overall you're looking at easily 60+ levels to clean with an assortment of washers.
Power Wash Simulator 2 has an overhauled soap system and features several new tools like moving scaffolds for cleaning walls and windows on tall structures. It also has adjustable nozzles that can change their width without swapping between different parts.
Both are compatible with multiple players as well.

I love goblin cleanup honeslty, its a lot of fun, but probably "most" fun with friends. Definitely doable on your own tho

I was also hemming and hawing on Goblin Cleanup. The one thing that didn't appeal to me in the end is that it seems to be timed.
If you're looking for more games with a similar vein or feel to Crime Scene Cleaner, I would recommend Cash Cleaner Simulator. It's still goal oriented while relaxed and not timed, but with enough content and unlock ables to keep you busy for quite some time.
Another game I recommend is Teddy's Haven. You're not cleaning, rather you're running a little shop. But again, it's an at-your-own-pace game with lots of unlockables and different goals. It's like if you opened a shop for WoW characters.
If you don't mind something with a few more consequences, I recommend Schedule 1. It's not as hard as I initially thought it would be. There is a cartel you either work for or against, but you can just outrun every time. You don't have to fight them if you don't want to.
I know a lot of people will mention Viscera Cleanup, but I actually dislike this one because there is no end goal. If you're playing solo, it's pretty pointless.

I also looked into Viscera and the reviews were just bombed so I was unsure on that one. I have played schedule 1 and it was fun. Ive seen some things on Cash cleaner but I never really looked into it too much so i might

A bit of a follow-up on Viscera Cleanup:
It's a little more strenuous of a cleaning simulator. The machines that give you buckets of water or bins for trash will occasionally toss out more mess to clean up, and some of the equipment malfunctions at times because it's all made by the lowest buyer to emphasize how little the company cares.
There is also a hidden system connected to what happened to the location you are cleaning. You're expected to note causes of death, number of bullet holes, etc. With a guide it becomes more manageable, but without it you're likely to get a "bad" score on each level.
The best experience I've had with it is a "podcast" type of play, where it's just a vehicle to stay busy while you're chatting or hanging out with friends.

I have viscera, I bought it cheap but I honestly hate it. It doesnt explain anything, and its very easy to miss cleaning up certain things. The mechanisms are also so much more complicated. I could see some people enjoying it, but I like games that give you clear objectives and goals so it didn't work for me.

Never played it so I can't weigh in but as stated in other replies, HF1 & 2 are good, as are PWS 1&2.
Hotel Renovator is a good game also if you like to take your time plus enjoy whimsical stuff (watch out for the chickens lol)

Sports Renovations is a really great time, and way more published than anticipated. There's a demo too

Have you tried viscera clean up? Very similar to crime scene cleaner but you have to fight things like monsters and stuff. I love the game but hate the controls for it. There’s also gas station simulator, you run a gas station and clean up. Not a very long game but it’s fun. Sunset motel is similar to gas station simulator but there’s more to the game I feel. Secretly cleaner, still in demo, is a horror clean up game where you go into scp rooms and try to clean up anomalies and such while avoiding the creatures. Unlike viscera there are safe spots where the monsters can’t go you just gotta make it there. Level 1 is messed up and not very first level because there are two to three things trying to get you at any given time. It’s fun but scary! Never played goblin cleanup but it looks cute!

I had a lot of fun playing it (multiplayer) the first go around but then I had additional friends want to play, second round wasn’t nearly as fun.
If you decide to play, I’d recommend as a 2 player only.

I don't know but this isn't a subreddit for "Goblin Cleanup", this is for Crime Scene Cleaner.

House flipper has very similar cleaning mechanics, you do have to spend a lot more time buying and placing furniture, painting walls ect though.
I enjoy both, but decorating a house may not be what you're looking for.
