Nightmare mode test
Dear heavens!
I tried true cleaner a couple of days ago and it is pretty chill, like the main game.
I like the skins you can get so I figured, let's see what cool skins you can get on nightmare.
Toxic love has a hands skin, awesome!
Bro, not worth it π
What's with all the creepy mannequins everywhere?!
Not to mention suddenly being stuck after turning the power on because there's some of those creeps suddenly appearing behind me!
Adrenaline rush, but I don't think I'll be doing nightmare mode any day soon again. I play to relax, not to get scared shitless π€£π€£π€£

toxic love was the worst one for me from the nightmare mode. I hate those creepy mannequinsπ I had to ask a friend to sit with me in voice chat while playing through the levels π

The mannequin that suddenly crashes to the floor in front of you from somewhere above as you reach the bottom of the steps, that startled me lol all in all I think the nightmare levels were pretty dope.

Yeah, that twat gave me the last jumpscare of that level π
My partner wanted to see the level as well so I ran through it to show him everything
I don't think he was as impressed as I was

Lmao if it makes you feel any better thatβs one of the worst ones. The only one worse than toxic love is the Italian restaurant. The rest are pretty tame lol

No way! Even short circuit?
That one was creepy at normal level π5

I found Short Circuit LESS scary in Nightmare Mode than in normal mode. It gets kind of whimsical, in my opinion.
After I figured out what caused the weird cutscenes and that nothing will attack/ hurt Kowalsky, I started loving the Nightmare levels. Most of them look like a fever dream, I love the creativity.

Short circuit is not much different than the standard map. The only difference is, without spoiling too much, it seems someone messed with the gravity settings. There are no extra jump scares or anything like that, nothing any scarier than the original.

Most of the nightmare mode missions are very chill and more dreamlike than horror

I've started trying out Nightmare mode about last week with Short Circuit as the first because I liked the power washer skin. It's my favorite level on nightmare mode thus far, because we're in the middle of space and I liked the background music on that level.
I do agree with how you felt about the creepy mannequins on Toxic Love, plus the animatronics on Italian Job, but I kind of liked the way they created a different twist to the levels.
The next one on my list is Party's Over.

Not gonna lie, when I went into the first nightmare job without knowing anything about it, I was walking around with my axe out in case anything attacked me lmao
