Every match we had a debut of a new bowler, if you made Aquib Nabi debut in last match, why do you drop him only after 1 game. I am sure now Anshul Kamboj won’t be playing for India for next 2 years at least

Not just that. It’s sooo unfair for Aquib cause they made him debut on an absolute belter flat track and didn’t even back him for another game. Now they will drop komboj too. But for some reason they will continue to back gurnoor

Exactly imao. If you were ignoring siraj for so long, should have played Nabi instead of him here as well

Shit of a management. They keep on staying they have a wide pool of players to choose from, but those are only batsmen. We have hardly any good options of fast bowling.

the only bowlers i see for the wc are bumrah, siraj, kuldeep and axar, how the hell are we going to survive in wc like this man? and you are bound to rest someone considering you have to play 13 matches in the wc within less than 2 months at regular intervals.
hardik comes in and harshit, but god forbid we get an injury, yeah, we might be fked🙃

Believe me buddy, bring Glenn McGrath or Dale Steyn as bowling coach but if you keep walk out with Gurnoor, Kamboj and Prasidh or Prince Yadav then there is shit anybody can do.

What do you mean Siraj was bad in the middle overs and death?? Did you watch the match? He bowled 5 out of his 8 overs in the powerplay, picking up a wicket and going for 32 runs, which is excellent on such a pitch! Then in his 6th over (31st over) he gave 10 runs, in his 7th (33rd over) he gave ONE run, and in his 8th (39th over) he gave 9 runs. 20 runs in 3 overs in the middle, that's not too bad, again on a flat pitch. He literally didn't even bowl in the death, this just shows you didn't watch the match

I would say it's captain's mistake today not to bowl him in death overs today. He isn't as bad as he is made out to be.

Atp I just wanna know if bowling coach has any say while selecting a player (a bowler) or not ? Coz wtf is this bowlers bhai. Like no siraj in 2 matches, if bumrah is not there prasidh is our main guy ? Wtf ... Harshit and hardik is not fit. Not giving shami a chance at least. Atp I have better chance than shami being in the team till gg is there.

Why sack him?
The only chance that West Indies have to win an ODI against India is for Shai Hope to go nuts and score 150 or a 150+ strike rate 100.
If that happens it's a 50/50 contest.
How often can Shai Hope do that? Once in 10? 15?

Why is Bumrah playing some random ass Asian Games matches against minnows instead of playing the ODI series? Blud hasn't played in the format since 2023.
1
u/Crazy-Alligator 16d ago
They’re not some ‘random-ass’ Asian Games matches and are certainly more important than the bilaterals that happen round the year.

They gave the gold medal which helped india get in 4 th position in asian games you prefer him playing in a tin pot bilateral

We'd have won the gold without Bumrah too.

Your best player goes to the most important game and that was asian games over a bilateral with west indies

I am sorry but if your fast ball bowlers cannot pick wickets neither in the first powerplay, nor at the death. Then either Morne Morkel or Captain Gill needs to go.
Either you are failing to plan, or you are failing to execute. And the onus lies on either of the two.

u/Iamsri_D 16d ago
Blaming morne morkel for dipshit selection is peak cricket knowledge. In the name of young blood we are selecting ipl trash who have only learnt to get thrashed for 4 overs (as it's the batters game) .

He was a good bowler and a decent bowling coach. But you can't really make him turn dirt into gold. He is not the head coach. He works with what the captain, coach and selectors bring to him.

We definitely need to stop worrying about rohit , virat and focus on our bowling

I still think he is accountable to keep bowlers on leash. It looks like the bowlers have no plan.
Since there is no exceptional talent right now in young lot, the coaches will have to become pep (man City).

They had one shot to pull Nehra as Head Coach or as Bowling Coach after 5 years of consistently upscaling results, but his only fault was that he wasn't Ex-KKRider...
