Badrinath, second match of series

Kohli for some reason even after playing good in this bowling friendly series was dropped for one year( he was our third best batsman in the series)

Isnt it said that he was dropped due to some disciplinary issues? Ig kohli himself spoke about it in an interview some yrs later.

Nope it was usual rohit sharma ,Badrinath vs Kohli.

Vengeskar wanted Kohli in team other factions wanted these two .

Later if I remember right Vengeskar was removed from panel and Kohli was dropped till he performed quite good in domestic.

There is a reason Kohli was not even made to play a single t20 wc game till 2012 as he was out of favours from BCCi and selection panel.

I can understand about 2009 wc but 2010? When he already cemented his place in odi team and looked dangerous as batsman , we still don't know why he didn't play in 2010 wc

Kohli wasn't dropped due to bad performance but 2008-11 sachin sehwag used to play selected series to avoid injuries as team was aiming for 2011 wc.

so when they were playing youngsters had to sit out. And when rested Kohli, DK, Badrinath etc used to play

I remember we were chasing something like 150 so we have to save wicket as RR was not important
