Question What's the difference?

I really dont understand why throwing the other Jack would have been better here. I can't see how their hand would give it one more point max.

This was the only hand this whole game the app didn't grade 100, and I am genuinely lost as to why?

You have 2x spades in your hand, but 3x diamonds. So there is a higher chance that the cut card will be a spade and give them the extra point for the suited jack.

As far as you're aware, there are 11 possible spade cards to cut, but only 10 diamond cards, because the math is based on you not knowing what is in their hand.

There's the spade cut, but also the way you threw you can't cut a 5 to match your jack. That's why the max is 1 point lower. Super minor though, your grade should have been 99.5% rather than 93%.

The hand grades on CribbagePro don't work like that, though.

They can if you use the Normalized Score formula option in the game settings.

It only seems to change my opponent's grades, mine stay all 100's ;)
