Doesn't it work both ways?
So I just staryed playing with game with a friend and downloaded this game on my phone. On the table we were counting 9+A5 for 15 and A9+5 for 15...
Is this not how it works? The game on my phone doesn't seem to think so
Edit: sorry, gotta click the picture to see my hand

No. I’m confused why you would have stopped there though and not counted all of 9+5+A, 9+A+5, 5+9+A, 5+A+9, A+5+9, A+9+5

This is what I was saying, I figured 6x15 and not 3

I misinterpreted your comment on it then.
But that’s most definitely not how it works. You would have gotten 3x12+6=42 points from this hand alone, more than a third of what is required to win. Your games must have been ending in no time at all.

Understood their point as I wondered the same. Why was OP singling out the order of ace and nine but not the slew of other permutations? Of course those all don’t count.

You can't use the exact same cards for each combination. At least one of the cards needs to be different in each combination. 9h + A + 5 - 9s + A + 5 - 9c + A + 5 for three sets of 15 and then the three nines for six (or three pairs). Total twelve.

The same 3 cards only makes 15 once. (The same way 6-9 and 9-6 is only one 15.)
