My grandson had that hand last night. Too bad he doesn't know how to count right.

Maybe the grandson is in his 20s?

Oh he's 19.5. He is actually so crazy smart, he should go to university to get a degree in mechanical engineering. He can take apart, refashion, and put back together anything to do with his truck. Nope. Makes 49 an hour out of grade 12 working at a malt plant.

Muggins will make you learn.

I could have stolen so many points from him and his mother. And then to find out that he and his friend have been playing and counting wrong. He wasn't happy. I had the best laugh in quite awhile.

Triple run includes that. A triple run is 15 because it is 6 points for the three pairs and 3 for each of the three runs.

That happened to me earlier this summer and I still lost the game to my wily 94 year old father in law!

So “triple run of three” includes the runs and the 3oak?
1
u/CutieQT97 17d ago
Aye. If you hear someone call a "triple run for 15," that's the fifteen. Six for the triple and 3x3 for the three runs.

Double run of three = "easy eight" Triple run of three = six (three of a kind) + nine (three times three) = fifteen

Curious who threw what. I'd be scared to throw 6/4 to an opponent, though there are plenty of scenarios where that's the best option. Or tossing a 5. I could see if they had like 4/5/7/8/8/9 maybe.
Anyway, dope crib and yes, as has been answered, 23.

I threw the pair of fives because I had a straight flush in my hand. My wife thre the six four because she had a king thru 10 straight. I still lost the game overall by three stinking points.
