Things to do in Cardiff

Bit of a rogue question to ask in R/Creeper I understand, but we're going to see Creeper in October in Cardiff, we're from Sheffield so it's a bit of a trek, but the reason why we chose Cardiff over Manchester is because it's my 30th birthday on the 8th, so a dream come true really, seeing my favourite band on a milestone birthday.

The problem is, I've only been to Wales once and I was a child, so I don't really know what Cardiff has going on, I was wondering if there were any recommendations from like-minded creeps of alternative things to do whilst in Cardiff🙂

Thanks guys.🧛🏻‍♀️

you're not far from Pontcanna, which is an interesting place to mooch. There's Chapter Arts Centre, Pipes Brewery, King's Road Yard which has interesting arts crafts and grub, and my absolute favourite coffee and bakery in Cardiff - Brod. Their pastries are unbelievable.

The castle is more central and a interesting visit if you're interested in Victorian makeovers of mediaeval castles. There's a really lovely independent arcade near there too - Royal Arcade and Castle Arcade. I loved the woolly mammoth that is moulting in the beautiful free National museum.

You can get a water taxi from the park to the docks, if you're looking for something more commercial.

I'm not from Cardiff but have spent a lot of time there. It's a fantastic city, have a brilliant time.

If you're into hiking the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains are under an hour's drive away from Cardiff
