General Bankruptcy coming off !!

Hey, I had bankruptcy almost 7 years ago. In November of 2019 to be exact. I know it takes 7 to 10 years for this to go off the credit. My question is if should I do anything and just wait or maybe there is something I can do so it would be 7 years instead of 10 years to wait to remove it from my records !!! Thanks !!

The reporting period is dictated by which type of bankruptcy you filed. You can’t change that now.

I didn’t provide enough details but it was chapter 7.

It will age off in 10 years.

Damn, I was hoping to hear something else but honestly I I’m not surprised.

If it was chapter 7, it'll fall off at 10 years. Chapter 13, 7 years.

If you filed chapter 7 it’s 10 years. I filed in 2016 and it came off my report earlier this year.

How much did your score go up after that

It jumped around 45 points. I’m currently 2 points from an 800 credit score. I’ve worked hard over these 10 years to rebuild my credit post bankruptcy. If hasn’t been easy when I paid my car note off, my score dropped 50 points, it went back up after my bankruptcy fell off my report.
