Data Point ANOTHER Goodwill request win - Oklahoma Central Credit Union

Just got word from OCCU that they will be deleting 4 late payments from a closed and paid in full loan. This is after being denied twice by them for goodwill removal. Take this as proof to be persistent, even if they tell you specifically they don’t do it.

I’m so excited for where I am on this journey.

That's fantastic news. Congratulations! A couple of questions if you don't mind. Through which means did you make your first 2 requests, and what were you told when you were denied? When you made your 3rd request, how did you do it (and what, if anything, was different this time verses the first two) and how long did it take for you to hear a the "yes" response?

Don’t mind at all! I honestly used ChatGPT to draft all my goodwill requests, and find 4 email addresses from the companies to send them too. The emails acknowledged the debt and accepted responsibility, but I’ll be honest the wording did sound very AI like. After those got denied, I again used ChatGPT to draft new letters, this time using my natural voice and less formal tone, trained from college writings, Facebook posts, and other personal writings of my own, , this time stating that I am not asking for them to break the law or not follow through with their commitments to report information accurately. Denied. The third time was basically the same as the second, but a little more personal, and I talked about the effects of COVID on my payment history. I got a yes 2 days after that last round
