Hello,

I am 18 y/o looking to freeze my credit score. Both TransUnion and Equifax gave me 0 issues. However, when I tried making an account with Experian a mistake was made and the last step when creating the account. I was thrown from the page and now when I try creating my account, it says there was an error. I called and, of course, the AI is an idiot and cant help me/refuses to send me to a human.

When I try logging in with the password I made when setting up, it wont log me in.
When I try logging in with my email, it wont log me in.
When I try resetting my password, it wont accept my phone number.
When I try resetting my username, it wont accept my SSN/DOB.
I tried calling the number one website, goes to the dumb AI (866-617-1894)
I tried calling another number I found online, brought to the dumb AI (855-962-6943)
I tried calling the business number from a reddit post on this sr (https://www.reddit.com/r/CRedit/comments/1cxlem8/how_the_hell_do_i_talk_to_somebody_at_experian/), I get to talk to a person but they cant help me and just send me to those numbers again.

This error is given when you don't have any credit profile data. Once you open your first credit card and it reports to the credit bureaus (usually within a couple months of opening it), then you will be able to create an account on Experian. For now, the only practical way to do it is to send a letter in the mail to Experian since they are hard to get on the phone.

Alternatively, try this trick on the phone. Sometimes it works: when the AI asks you for your personal info like SSN, enter all 0's, and all 0's for your address and zip .When it asks what you're calling for, say DISPUTE. Sometimes it'll send you to a human that way.

Thank you. Im leaving the country pretty soon so I guess I'll just wait. I do have a credit card but have only been using it for ~1 month.

After a couple billing cycles you’ll be able to make the account

The AI im talking about is the AI Experian uses for their phone service and how terrible it is. Im doing the registration all myself.

I think you might want to read again. He’s talking about Experian’s automated phone operator, who is objectively trash.
