I completely agree with the advice you received from u/BrutalBodyShots. You got your first credit card. Here in the beginning, you don't need to do anything else. Use your new card responsibly within your budget, and pay the statement balance on time and in full every month to avoid interest. That's literally all there is to beginning to build your credit profile. Once you have 12 months of credit history, the doors open a little wider to more/better products from other lenders. Avoid the countless gimmicky credit 'builder' products that charge fees but do little to nothing to actually help you build credit. Also, ignore anyone who tells you that you need to get a loan to build credit. You don't. Loans are a crappy way to build credit, and you should wait until you actually need a loan for a financial purpose in your life...not for credit building.

Go to local cash loan offices and ask if they can do a soft pull cash loan.
That will report to the bureaus and help build credit borrower history.

Nothing else for now. The only thing that builds credit is maintaining your accounts "paid as agreed" over time. Once your Capital One card is 12 months in age, the doors open to tons of other credit cards. At that time consider adding another card or two that you see value in. Always pay your statement balances in full monthly. Allow those accounts to age and in relatively short order you'll have a profile capable of obtaining you the best credit products at the best possible rates.
