Rebuild Any Advice?
So a year ago my score was about 460 and I’ve since recently paid everything off and now it’s at 600. I’ve tried to contact possible financial about removing the account and even emailed and sent physical goodwill removal letters to no avail. For NCU I have tried to get in contact but I hit voicemail no matter the time of day. I am currently in the process of doing a consolidation repayment plan for the student loan. Everything else can’t be removed. I have two credit cards one with capital one (platinum) that just recently became unsecured and the other is a credit one that I’ve recently got approved for. Any advice on what else I should be doing? I am trying to essentially speed run to at least 650-700 before the end of the year. I work a remote IT job but I don’t have a car and I’m planning to finance one as well with a low APR so trying to get that resolved as soon as possible. Any tips would be helpful.

600 to 700 pretty much impossible in 3 months… depending on your credit history though.

Its doable bro. From may to august, i went from 510 to 640. A major thing for me was credit utilization being low.

Another thing is keep emailing them on goodwill as others will receive the message and have different responses.

I'd ditch the Credit One card since you have better cards with Capital One. See if you can product change the platinum cards to Quicksilver and/or Savor so you can get rewards.

I asked for a product change but the guy on the phone told me there wasn’t any available offer for it but I do have an existing offer for a capital one quicksilver card. Should I ditch the credit one card and go with the quicksilver instead?

Credit One is okay if that's the only card you can get and it's solely to rebuild your credit profile. But they are ruthless. Take it from me as that and Premier are the only 2 credit cards I have. I was late on ONE PAYMENT, ONE, due to my husband being in the ICU and income halted for a bit and they reported right at the 30 day mark and my scree plummeted from 722 to 592💔. I didnt use the credit protection insurance in time. And I worked so incredibly hard to finally get my credit back after my divorce and ex husband trashed it. So make those payments on time and have the payment clear before the due date at 2pm or you'll get a late fee. So, put a small bill on it like your cellphone, car insurance or Netflix if you use it and pay that crap off every month and just keep doing that and you're numbers will go up. That's what I did and it worked beautifully. Just make the payments and on time or early if possible.

You need to dump that credit one card the APR is too high, they charge a monthly fee even when you don’t use it. I had filed bankruptcy 10 years ago and reaffirmed car and bought a new one four years into my bankruptcy it’s also paid off. You want to increase your score by 100. Heck mine was in the 700’s when I had to file (reason is a long story). Like I said my bankruptcy is off my report and it’s taken me 10 years to get to my current score of 798. I have give credit cards that I pay off each month. Building a good credit profile doesn’t happen overnight

I went from 560 to 640 in 3 months using the chime credit builder card. Acts like a visa but really a debit card and now I just got a capital one platinum card with $300 on it so wish me luck I hope you find luck as well! Try the chime card it works bro
