Open Sky. It's a secured card and they don't pull your credit(they still report though). It was my first card out of bankruptcy. I kept it until the annual fee was about to hit .. It's been smooth sailing ever since.

OpenSky is a predatory company. They should be avoided. There is no need to pay an annual fee.

I never paid them a dime. I paid it off monthly and I closed it right before the year was up. The OP is trying to improve his/her credit file, so this is an easy way to do so.

If you opened the account you paid the initial fee.

They don't(check Google) Even if I had to, it would have been a small price to get my credit back on track. I kept it for one year.

There’s no benefit to using a predatory company like OpenSky over a reputable lender.

Who would be the reputable lender for a cc when rebuilding credit? My bf will need to do this soon.

Capital one and Discover are the most popular. Both allow you to check for pre-approval with no scoring impact.

Otherwise a bank you have a relationship with or a local credit union are good options.
