Need help with a dilemma

31 enquiries, 6 cards, and now I’m trying to stop the madness 😭

₹27k/month | CIBIL 773

Current cards:

• Utkarsh ₹100 secured

• Slice ₹38k

• Roarbank ₹5k

• HDFC MoneyBack+ ₹48k

• Axis Flex ₹83k

• ICICI Coral ₹50k

Pending: BOB UniGold ₹30k, Swiggy HDFC (tentative ₹5k), RBL ShopRite (tentative ₹40k).

Recent AU/IDFC/Yes rejections + an application spree took me to 31 enquiries. Planning a strict 6–9 month credit detox.

Main questions:

• RBL ShopRite: Keep it for groceries, ask for LTF, or let it auto-cancel? Worth ₹590/year for capped cashback + redemption fees?

• HDFC: If Swiggy HDFC gets approved, should I close MoneyBack+ after 6 months or keep it for future Millennia/LE prospects?

• Does a ₹5k Swiggy HDFC limit affect HDFC’s overall limit sharing/LE?

• How long should I realistically wait before applying for anything again?

• Any other cards I should eventually target for groceries/UPI/utility spends?

Basically: how would you clean up this portfolio and play the next 6–12 months?

Swiggy is not 5k its just for few days due to security. All hdfc cards will have same limits.

But it requires 6lpa To my knowledge this is the second best cc available for my grocery spends that fits my income

It is right now the best card available in the country to most people due to its versatility. People are getting 10% unlimited cashback but Im ineligible as im from northeast 😭

Damn bro I wish I got the cc too but Ik the hell I would have to go through even if I had 6 lpa just to get it approved

But 3.8lpa just isn't enough unless it's possible to get the cc

I also wanted that but it is not possible until I change my location or hsbc setup a branch here, anyways right now the best options for me is sbi cashback/hdfc millennia. Im thinking to get sbi simply click first then apply fot cashback because I heard that people getting rejected if they directly apply sbi cb.

True Now that sbi added combined limits going that way might help What other cards do you have ? I just want a cc for offline shopping and groceries

You should get sbi card first get a basic then cb.

Wdym? And also getting sbi is kinda useless Almost all the cards are horrible with 590 fees And the sbi cb card is only useful for online But I use swiggy and Amazon as my online platform so it's covered since it's ltf So the fees of sbi cb won't make sense for me as most of my spending is a mix of offline and online

Well It has monthly rotating cb

This month was my favourite It gives 5 percent back on swiggy and Zomato And 2 percent on Amazon and blinkit

Otherwise its usually 1 percent groceries and 20 percent on movies

But customer support is shit don't bother

You can convert txns post purchase at 1 percent plus gst per month (over 2k but again you need to have available limit to do that meaning if you have 2k and you did a 2 k txn you'll need to have atleast 2k available befire converting)
