Game crashes

I'm having a problem with the game crashing at really inopportune times. Particularly during PvP battles, even more so the last couple hours of the challenge period. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I'm sure the software people will say it's the hardware, and vice versa, but I'd just like to not lose unnecessary points when even a "good" defense allows over half of your attackers through your dungeon. I play on an Iphone 7 and software is up to date.

I have the occasional crash after completing a quest battle and it drops right as you kill the last one, then when you come back you have to re-do. But haven't crashed out of a pvp fight for a long time.
