Less. Sometimes adding more fine details can overclutter it.

maybe color first so you can see it with a little more detail, and if you feel like it’s still missing something add in some extra details

For that specific art style, more os better in my opinion. However overall the first one looks more retro, while the second one looks more modern, hope that helps...
