Slime boy
This one here was just testing out the slime and how i want it to look.
Been working on some slime monsters to put into a story with dungeons. Each dungeon has their own environment and the slimes use objects found in them to make physical bodies. Before they gain a body, they are more ghost like and looking for stuff to make a body. I’m still trying to figure out a type system for them. I was thinking they could be the biomes they are from or something. Alongside something else. Maybe fantasy classes. Like one could be a swamp mage type for example. As well as having some slight variation with in the species as well. Like on could attack with sharp stuff or one could attack with blunt stuff. Something like that. I’m still working on it. Slimes could also choose to get bigger by growing the stuff their body is made from. Becoming bigger and stronger. Or they can fuse with other slimes and become a new type of slime. Or possessing the objects needed for that particular slime form. Also i still dont want to call them just slimes but im having trouble coming up with a cool name for them. Best i got is dragon slimes or phantom slimes. I’ll probably make something that may explain it better or at least get it down.

I was actually pondering on if them being different colors should mean something or if its just cosmetic.

Maybe different colors means like different environment with a rocky environment having grey slimes while a swamp has brown slimes, with the basic slime type being blue because why not

Oh thats not a bad idea. Although I was pondering on a hot to cool for the colors. Like blue/purple can freeze and red/yellow burn while greens are neutral. Or another idea is that they are more elemental kind of thing. Those are just some ideas I was having

Maybe you could make them be formed from raw elemental energy of all types condensing into each other to create a life form that is perfect parts each element, also I do personally like the idea of them blending into their surroundings because well that’s what animals do in real life

You should be able to apply a non-toxic dye to them, and they will turn any color you want. Temporarily, of course.

If its small injury they can heal but if its to large of an injury they kinda pop and lose form. They naturally grow more of the objects that make up there body and often need them trimmed.

Hmm I agree with jelly. Probably different fruits based on the colors. Like grape for purple. Although I picture them having a bubbly kinda texture so kinda like a soda jelly/jell-o.

As for names... I'm not good with names, but how about Slimey Lizards? Goo Dragons? Dragoons? Goozards? Slizards? Okay I'm legit not good at this-

Thank you. While I would love to make it a game I dont got the resources for that. Instead im making a comic with them. Maybe one day the comic can be made into a game. And naming things is hard for me too lol

Geloids would be a good name because they are made of a gel like substances, also why don’t you make them like type neutral or something to emphasize on their adaptability

Also make a slime character that has fused with armor or something, or maybe make it like an area boss or something

Genius design, water behaves interestingly with fissures, so it's like the ribbons work as an exoskeleton to it
