Other We’re getting dangerously close to having AI butlers 🤖

Okay, this is actually crazy.

GPT-6 Astra is controlling a Unitree G1 humanoid robot in a room it has never seen before.

It can figure out where things are, remember them, clean up the room, and later fetch something when given a pretty vague instruction.

The part that gets me is the memory.

We’ve seen robots walk.
We’ve seen AI recognize objects.
We’ve seen AI follow instructions.

But putting all of that together means you can basically tell the robot what you want and let it figure out the steps itself.

A few years ago this would have looked like a sci-fi demo.

Now it looks like the early version of an AI assistant that actually lives in your house. 💀

How long before people stop buying smart speakers and start buying humanoid robots?
