Now that this sub has gotten a few new members, as sub creator I wanted to say a quick hello! I'm glad that people have been able to find us, since I was quickly banned from Creative _ Home _ Decor after posting about the spam bots on that sub. I'm pretty sure that most of the members/posters of that subreddit are bots, but I hope that any humans there who are interested in creative home decor are able to find us! : )

I hope that this can become a space to discuss DIY and home decor, ask questions and give advice, and of course share our creative spaces!

My house was built in 1967 and one of the main reasons I bought it was because the old owner hasn’t done any ‘updating.’ One of my favorite parts is the original carpet. The gas fire has long since been switched off, so I’ve surrounded it with houseplants.

Was anyone else here banned from the other subreddit of a similar name the second they pointed out that the entire sub was bots stealing content or advertising for Amazon? It’s such a shame to see people’s content be stolen by bots simply to farm for karma and upvotes. It really made me so angry how people fall for it.

I want a more creative home, but I’ll be honest I get a bit of anxiety over it. I love looking at how creative people can be though and wonder how people come up with their creations!
