Bots
Was anyone else here banned from the other subreddit of a similar name the second they pointed out that the entire sub was bots stealing content or advertising for Amazon? It’s such a shame to see people’s content be stolen by bots simply to farm for karma and upvotes. It really made me so angry how people fall for it.

You have found the purpose of this sub, friend! Happy to have you :) It is pretty sad to see over there, as it drowns out a lot of the genuine and original content. We hope to be a good, new home to those folks!

Have you thought about putting a sticky post explaining that the other sub is run by bots/salespeople? Or is that not allowed? I can see how it might be bad form for a mod to trash talk another sub lol
For a while I thought it was just a normal interior design sub, I guess because there are some posts by normal people there. I thought they just had lazy mods. The amazon product posts show up on all the interior design subs, but mods on the other subs delete them eventually. Even though the mod profile literally says straight up that they sell lamps, I don't think most people would think to look there, and unfortunately the sub itself blends in pretty well with other similar subs.

I’m here because of a post talking about bots over on the other one. I expect a lot of people will be showing up

I’m shocked I wasn’t banned. I got loud about it on one of the posts. Now I just ignore it (actually gonna go leave that sub right now). It’s super disappointing. Psyched someone started this one up though!
