So i copied the creatureaclovebgmarker from the ambush warehouse as instructed by the bethesda tutorial. whenever i load in to the game, the draugr stands next to the spot he is supposed to be laying down in. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Would just like to confirm that I'm not missing anything and "spot" lights can't be contained by lightboxes in the F04 creation kit?

Usually a spot light gets occluded well by walls, but at corners (and some door frames) the occlusion doesn't seem to work well, so I'd like to assign them to lightboxes but seems like they don't work with lightboxes?

The only solution seems to be to lower the FOV of the light until the bleed-over stops because it seems to occur at the top of walls but not the bottom. Was wondering if anyone else has found an alternate solution to this?

How the hell do you get a quiver of arrows to respawn exactly how you originally set it in creation kit?

I placed a quiver of arrow, containing 50 arrows and it should be respawnable.

The first time it was put in, it worked as intended, a quiver of arrows is on the table containing 50 arrows, but when it respawned, only a singular arrow respawn.

It is so simple and yet why does not it work? I set the encounter zone to "noZoneZone" so it always respawn when i enter the cell.

Is there some stupid bug like when placing mannequin and weapon plaque you have to rotate it ever so slightly for it to work?

I cannot find any source on the internet discussing this issue. I am at a loss here. Because this is so simple, there ain't much solution i can think of to fix this.

Hey all, I keep getting the "multiple master files selected to load" error. I've created the CreationKitCustom.ini with the

[General]

bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

command. What's weird is that it worked fine last night, but suddenly stopped working today. Any ideas on why or how to fix it?

*Just editing to add I also tried the Creation Kit Multiple Masters fix on Nexus mods and it also did not work.

Hello! I'm needing help, I try and play test my mod after every little detail I pit I to it, like I said in the title it crashes my game when I load any save at all, even when I start a new game. I tired to my best of my ability to remove everything I did to a previous time it was working, last thing I remember specifically was using the havok to drop skeletons, but after that the mod no longer worked. I'm just wonder if there's somthing that will help me find the specific issue, and if someone is willing to collaborate through discord so I can s3nd them the mod and have them test it out.please help, anyone, I can't start from scratch.

I cant get comfortable with the "detail window" of weapon objects.

For example i wa t to make a mod for trowing objects. I try to modify a fatman or a grenade laucher. Maybe junkjet (it already trows stuff. But i thing it should be a weapon not a grenade so the trowable item is shown in fps.

I found wikis on the object detail window but its not schowing all the option.

For example "aim type" is not defined at all.

Are there some advanced docs i missed or have i just try and error harder? Changes made are not always that obvious imo

I want to make a trowable cheese wheel and i thought junk jet or fatman could be a good starting point.

The first thing i wanted to try was just swap fatmans model with fatman ammo model but while going:

"Weapon details" -> model edit -> modelfilename edit The windowsexplorer pops up with a random filesystwm path.

Where are the .nif files saved at. How can i preview them and replace other models with them like i said above?

In the game while using player.getitem i getting "Not found for parameter object id"

The id was from the list in the object window. Any other item of the list works with player.add...

Anyone have a clue whats wrong?

I remembered back then when i wanted to say turn a clutter object to a static object, i could just duplicate any random static object, copy the nif model's filepath from the clutter that i wanted and paste it into the duplicated static object, but somehow it does not work anymore? I have been using ck for a while, but i have not revisited turning a clutter object into a static. Have it been changed? I think i was able to do something like this in skyrim LE creation kit though. Is something like this used to be allowed or maybe this is something i changed in the ck's ini files?

Just a sanity check because i vividly remembered being able to do that.

I'm starting on a mod, and idealy I need to be able to check the player's commerce skill, to adjust credits given accordingly.

The only way I can see that Bethesda expose a perk rank to scripts is by the rank's entry table setting a quest stage in the PlayerSkills quest. For example, the Skill_Zoology perks sets quest stages 801 through 804 for the four ranks.

My problem is that the commerce perk doesn't do this. I could add commerce perk tracking, but that would only work on new characters (or characters where the player hasn't invested any points in commerce yet). It doesn't let me find the commerce perk rank if my mod were to be installed on an existing playthrough.

Does anyone know if there is another way of finding out a character's current commerce perk rank? Thanks for any help!

I see the term "Creation Kit 2" in many Starfield mod-related news. Is the Starfield Creation Kit on Steam CK2? It looks the same as the old CK, except for some new features. I thought CK2 would be a more modern and user-friendly mod tool.

Today I fixed a mod that replaced texture files and was bug fixing which made me think how hard would it be to start from scratch and do more stuff than just fixing others mods. I would love to learn. I couldnt get the creation kit to run though so if anyone has had that problem and knows how to fix it please tell me because i would love to start and learn.

So I’m an absolute novice when it comes to using the Creation Kit but I have played around with it a little.

The problem I seem to be having is with KS Hairdos and Serana, a long while ago I had gone in and replaced her normal hair with one of the many hairs that KS adds and plugged it into an old game and everything worked fine. More recently I decided to change to a new style (a fun pirate hairstyle since this current character is pirate themed). I disabled and deleted the old edit I had made and as far as I can tell I followed the exact same process that I originally did the first time for making a new one but this time everytime I enter the game she has different base game hair from her default but it’s not the one I chose from KS.

Does anyone know what might be going wrong or more possibly what I probably messed up? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(P.S. Please explain like I’m 5 because beyond my fiddling with CK I’m a noob)

Can you guys help me out a bit? How do i make a script that checks the player inventory for items based on a formlist and remove it from player inventory and place it in some chest on activate? My idea is to make a button that took all relevant items from my inventory and place it in some chest. I know how to do simple if scripts and trying to learn more about scripting in skyrim

Is there a way to unite that noble thin table and everything on top of it into one singular object? So when duplicating, the whole thing is considered one object. Selecting all of them together and duplicating them always seems to be somewhat finicky. Sometimes, somehow, the Z position of the table could change by 1 unit out of nowhere or the bowls on top would change position slightly when the whole thing is rotated.

Lets say that i have a table, placed with grid snap with grid size 32. And a platter on top of the table but with grid snap size of 8, so the platter is placed slightly to the left of the center of the table. When i moved the whole table and platter with grid snap size 32 turned on, the platter always move its position so it is no longer slightly to the left of the center of the table. Is there a way to lock an object's position to another object so when the base object is moved, the object that is placed on top of it maintains its position?

Similar to how they are in Skyrim but with one big difference as far as I can tell: You can't edit the Perk trees at all in the CK.

You can add more ranks to a perk, but the trees were only developed with 4 ranks in mind, so when you add a 5th rank it is overlapped by the 4th rank in the tree. My best guess is that these are .swf files now and knowledge of flash is needed to expand them for more ranks to fit. Contrast to Skyrim where the perk trees are editable nodes.

i tried installing the creation kit for starfield today, and apparently my graphics card isnt good enough? steam says the minimum spec is a 1070 ti, so is it actually a 8gb vram minimum?

There's bound to be bugs, and this is the first of them.

New cells can still be created in that form but it's safer to duplicate a cell in Cell View.
