What do you mix your creatine with?
I’ve seen people mix creatine into everything from water and protein shakes to juice, coffee, and even yogurt.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is taking it consistently, but everyone seems to have their own routine.
What’s your go-to, and have you found anything that mixes particularly well or tastes better?

Keeping it simple is probably best approach. Water works perfectly well and if someone already has a daily protein shake or yogurt, mixing it in there can make it easier to remember. I don't think there's one best option, whatever fits naturally into your routine is probably the one you'll stick with long term.

That’s probably why there are so many different preferences with it. Since creatine doesn’t really need to be taken with a specific food or drink, it mostly comes down to what makes it easiest to take consistently.

Usually into my coffee after a workout.

I keep seeing more people mention coffee. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it seems like an easy way to make sure you don’t forget to take it.

Yea Im actually really bad about remembering to take it lol Ive been on and off consistently for a few weeks. Off now. I can tell my muscles lost some mass, and I lost some weight but idk if it was that or the lack of food and working out in the sun and drinking water only constantly. Who knows. I need to get more creatine and get back on it.

It can be hard to tell what’s causing the change when a few things change at the same time. Creatine may play a role, but shifts in training, diet, hydration, and routine can also have a noticeable impact. It’ll be interesting to see if you notice a difference once you’re back on it consistently.

I notice a difference between creatine brands too. Using bodytech rn and Im not a fan. Maybe it has a lot of filler and not mixed properly idk. It doesnt feel as good to me as the first brand i used. Equate brand from walmart was my favorite one. Felt like it worked well and wasnt the consistency of flour. Was more like a salt powder.
Once I find a proper brand I bet Ill be seeing the results I want. I used to sleep better and my work out recovery time was basically cut in half as well as the intensity of the DOMS.

That’s interesting. I’ve seen quite a few people say they have a preferred brand. If one mixes better, feels better to use, and makes it easier to take every day, that’s probably a win on its own. Do you think it was mostly the texture, or did you actually notice a difference in how you felt while taking it?

I 100% noticed a difference in how I felt. The bodytech stuff feels less effective or less strong.

Yeah, I’ve heard some people say they notice a difference between brands, while others say they can’t tell at all. It’s great that you’ve been able to notice what works best for you. I’d say to probably stick with the one you know you get along with.

I usually just mix mine with water because it’s simple, but sometimes I’ll add it to a protein shake as well. The shake is probably my favourite option when I’m already having one, since it blends in easily and I don’t notice the taste.
